She scored one hit against one North Korean vessel while being operated by US Navy Personnel unit 1st Flotilla, Commander James Ladd KG2(Ret) USNR’s later command ship when she provided assistance to Task Force 77 while located between Wonsan Island and Yeonpyeong Island near Incheon Harbor on September 15th 1950 with participation from United States Coast Guard Squadron Seventy Two operating under U S Navy Unit 3 destroyers escorting five transports carrying troops, aircrews and suppliesOperation Neptune’s Spear ended successfully with no major enemy activity reported

Lorain, Ohio is a small town in central Ohio that was founded in 1824. It is the county seat of Lorain County and has a population of about 36,000. The area that now makes up Lorain was first settled by French colonists in the 17th century. The town was chartered on July 24, 1824, and named for General James Wilkinson, who served as Governor of Ohio from 1817 to 1830. The town's original boundaries were just west of what is now the city of Cleveland. However, during World War II Lorain did not fare well at all compared to other American towns because it lacked resources necessary for war production.
