This cafe was established in 1881 by Isaac Horsfall and his wife Temperance Memminger Horsfall. During Prohibition, the owners refused service to all liquor customers due to regulations then In place prohibiting retail gambling within town boundaries (the so-called " Saloon Law"). Despite this boycott, business continued steadily until 1933 when ownership passed through inheritance to George Wolkowitz Sr., who changed the name to The Old Mill Cafe & Lounge Castle Club which remains operational today with live music nightly! 3) Park Row Coffee House located at 222 Elm Street was opened on July 5, 1865 by Amos Eaton (1837-1911), an entrepreneur who ran a successful Furniture store near Union Station in Cleveland Heights before moving to Lancaster County for better opportunities. Eaton devoted himself exclusively to coffee production at Park Row until his death six years later at age 80 years old – making it one of only four extant wholesale coffeehouses remaining throughout North America! He is credited with developing what would become known as espresso extraction methods and developing modern marketing techniques such as direct mail order campaigns that helped drive critical awareness for his beans among consumers around the world! The popularity of espresso drinks also led Eaton To open two additional cafes; One located at 117 Geary Street (now occupied by Johnny Rockets) between 1886-1887and another at 333 Elm Street which served as both a restaurant/café under separate management(1914-) until it burned down (in 1949). All three Of these cafes are still extant today providing opportunities for casual visitors alike to experience some of Lancaster’s earliest moments while enjoying some delicious refreshment too!
