In 1876 – two years after America's independence from Great Britain – baristas began serving tea instead of coffee at some speakeasies across the country as part of an effort to appeal to American consumers who were thirsty for independence but not yet used to drinking milk-based beverages! By 1902 espresso machines were being served at more than one million cafes across North America! Hilliard is a town in Price County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. The name of the town originated from the hill that rises along Anderson Creek. The first settler in Hilliard was Ebenezer Beall who founded a log cabin in 1814 on what is now known as Main Street. He later moved to what is now the east side of town and built a more extensive farmstead including a dam and mill which he operated for many years. One of his sons, Elijah Beall, became one of the most important figures in early Hilliard history and played an important role in establishingidemocratic rule over local affairs until his death in 1871. Another early settler was Solomon French who arrived around 1800 and platted what is now south central Hilliard on land that he had bought from Native Americans. French erected a house on this site which still stands today. In 1813-14, John Prentice built an imposing frame courthouse next to where Main Street meets State Route 3 (now US 31). This courthouse served as the nucleus of much later legal activity in Hilliard including criminal trials and civil litigation. In 1828-29 Daniel Webster started construction on a large blockhouse/mansion called "The White House" on what is now Broad Avenue just east of downtown Hilliard. This structure served as both a jail and frontier post until it burned down during World War II; however, its foundations remain intact today as part of Old Town Hall Park off High Street between Broad and Elm Streets. During the 1830s-40s, farmers located near by began producing corn and soybeans which were largely responsible for driving up prices for goods available at local merchants while also providing some economic stability for those living within close proximity to these valuable crops - something that wasn't possible with traditional pioneer agriculture methods such as hoeing or planting fields by hand alone
Hilliard was one of the original counties in Ohio. It was founded in 1788 and named for Colonel John Hill, an American Revolutionary War hero. The county seat was at Lima. In 1801, Hilliard became a part of the Indiana Territory. It was organized as a township on April 12, 1806. On December 5, 1827, it became a city by charter from the government of Indiana.
