There is no one definitive account of the history of gourmet coffee. However, there are a few general points that can be made about the early days of this beverage. In 1971, two American entrepreneurs, Tim Horton’s founder and CEO John Donahue and entrepreneur Danone executive Claude Monet, founded a company called La Cafférie du Jardin in Paris. The goal was to create the best-quality French-roasted coffee beans available at an affordable price. La Cafférie du Jardin started making espresso and coffee drinks such as déjeuner à la mode (a breakfast dish with eggs, bacon, and toast), café mocha (a smoothie or latte with chocolate mixed in), and chocolat chaud (a hot chocolate). These products were sold through small local businesses throughout France. The success of La Cafférie du Jardin led to another business venture for Donahue: Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Corporation. CB&T was created to sell high-end roasted coffees from start-ups around the world through franchising agreements with different retailers across America. This allowed CB&T to develop relationships with some of the most prestigious roasters in the industry and help build a brand that would last for years to come. During this time period, coffee also began being exported to other countries such as England and Japan. Coffee began becoming more popular in these countries because it was perceived as an important part of their local diets. Additionally, people began moving away from buying fresh produce into eating out more often which introduced Starbucks into this picture

There has been a settlement in Galion, Ohio since the 1830s. The first known settler was Jonas Spaulding, who arrived in 1834. By 1840, there were three settlements in the area: Spauldingville, Middleburg and Galion. Ultimately, Galion became the most established community in the area and ultimately served as its capital. The first school in Galion was built on what is now State Route 522 about 1835-36. A second school was built on State Route 469 about 1840-41. A third school was built on State Route 724 about 1850-51. In 1858, a four-room log cabin was erected for use as a public schoolhouse by David Ladd and his family. It is currently part of theGalion Museum of History & Arts. In 1871, construction began on what would become the present day courthouse complex. The cornerstone for the building was laid on October 16th of that year and it opened to business on January 3rd of 1872. The current courthouse is one of Ohio's oldest extant buildings and it has served as both its administrative center and courtroom throughout its history. As Ohio developed into a more industrialized society, so too did its economy; this led to an increase in industry within town limits which necessitated new transportation infrastructure including a railroad station and storage facilities nearby which also contributed to growth within town limits over time. In 1931, Galion constructed their own waterworks system with two wells dug out of solid ground some six miles from town proper; this helped contribute to increased shopping opportunities within walking distance of residents while also providing drinking water for entire township during times when other municipal services failed or were too expensive to maintain..
