Findlay, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Findlay Township. The population was 25,829 at the 2010 census. It is the fourth-largest city in Ohio and has a population of about 44,000 people as of 2016. Foundlay was founded by Indians in 1797 and named for George Findlay, an American Revolutionary War officer who served as its first postmaster general. The city was incorporated on March 14, 1819. Founded by Indian traders from Muskingum County (now Shiawassee County) in 1797, Findlay became one of the first towns in what would become Ohio when it was admitted to the Union on November 2, 1803. At that time it consisted of just 10 settlers—six men and four women—and lay within Muskingum County's boundaries only until 1798 when it merged with neighboring Portage Township to form what would become Findlay Township. The town quickly grew due to its location near major trade routes and its access to water resources: upon incorporation it had three public wells and two private wells providing drinking water for all residents without septic systems or other costly amenities common at that time. The growth of Findlay continued through much of the 19th century as new transportation methods made traveling more accessible: wagon trains brought goods such as cloth, lumber and potatoes from nearby Wheeling (Wabash Valley), Indiana; Erie Canal travelers reached Findlay via a short cut over Mount Pleasant Creek near present day Bellefontaine Cemetery before reaching downtown on May Day each year; steamboats called at Findlay from Medina Lake during summer months docking at Swan Point on the Scioto River where passengers disembarked for a paddle trip downriver to Dayton or Portsmouth (then Elizabethtown). In 1857 construction began on what would become First National Bank Tower which stood until 1906 when it burned down; souvenir seekers could still see evidence remaining today including bricks left behind inside cupolas! As communications improved throughout America during this period, so too did findsville's status: telephone lines were laid here during the 1920s while electric streetlights arrived later that decade – making findley oneOfthe mostkitchensto citiesInamerica! In 1902 there were plans underway to build an express railroad through town connecting Toledo with Cleveland but no action occurred until 1907 when proposals were made again resulting in construction starting in 1908 by local builder John Waddell who renamed his project "The Cincinnati & Lake Erie Railway". This line extension eventually became known simply as "The Cincinnati Railroad" after its completion in 1911 following control changes within The Cincinnati Company ownership which then leased portions of it back to Western Electric Corporation becoming partofthe latter's main network across North America! On December 12th 1921 findley lost contact with Toledo Airport leaving many citizens anxious until foundley regained communication 24 hours later! On October 29th 1933 riots erupted throughout downtown Toledo after Mayor James Dyer refused orders from President Franklin D Roosevelt not to fire police officers conducting investigations into corrupt business practices leading up to WWI munitions purchases By General Motors - these events are commonly referredToAsThe Great Detroit Fire!!!

Findlay, Ohio is a small town in the heart of the United States. The population was 6,752 as of 2010. Founded in 1814 by farmers and their families who had fled theadeffects of the American Civil War, Findlay quickly became known for its corn mills and agricultural products. After years of growth and development, Findlay has become a vibrant community with a rich history that can be explored on a variety of levels. Findlay’s founding story is recounted in various histories and memoirs from the early 1800s to modern times. In 1814, farmers fleeing the effects of The American Civil War chose to settle in what is now Findlay due to its safe harbor from Union forces and its access to resources such as water supplies and farmland. By 1865, however, most of these settlers had left for other parts of Ohio or Kansas due to economic hardships caused by The Great Fire Of Cincinnati (1865). In addition to its Corn Mills & Agricultural Products fame, Findlay also boasted an impressive educational system during this time period. From 1820 until 1870, Findlay was home to one of America’s first two public schools – the first being erected on the present site of Statehouse Square in 1824. This school served students from kindergarten through eighth grade at a time when education was available only via private tutoring or home-schooling methods. Additionally, Findlay boasted one of America’s earliest hospitals – called Mount Hope Hospital – which opened its doors in 1830. Today, Mount Hope Hospital remains part Of Catholic Health System (CHS) while portions are used as housing for employees at CVS Pharmacy located just downriver from it on First Street NW. During the late 1800s and into the 1900s saw significant growth in downtown Findlay which eventually led to developers coming onto town square seeking new land for development purposes including several shopping malls and office parks over time. Unfortunately some aspects associated with this rapid expansion such as traffic congestion have led to increased crime rates within recent years making it difficult for locals living nearby not only enjoy life but also participate fully in their community economy without fear for their safety nightmarish events happening nightly outside their homes windows like nothing ever happened before!
Findlay was founded in 1795 by David Findlay and his wife Lois. In 1824, the town incorporated and became a county seat. The city was named for its founder, David Findlay.
