The early years of coffee production were difficult because there was not much available to farmers other than wild hemp which was expensive and difficult to extract. Coffee became more accessible during World War II when farmer Marvin Kapp donated land to make an industrial zone for the war effort. The industry grew rapidly after the war and Coffee City was born. It is interesting that this early period of coffee production coincided with Prohibition because it allowed for increased access to beans from Africa which would then be roasted and exported back home." After prohibition ended in 1948, Coffee City began experiencing rapid growth due to its proximity to Midwestern manufacturing jobs." By 1969, Coffee City had reached its current size with over 100 businesses." Unfortunately, growth came at a cost; social disorder emerged from forced migration from rural areas into urban areas where drugs were more readily available."" As illegal drug use spread throughout downtown Coffee City, law enforcement became ineffective; gangs took control" This resulted in many businesses closing down or moving out while crime rates soared." In order to address these problems, city officials decided that they needed more police officers." This led to the construction of several large buildings including One Grand Avenue (now known as Tower Place) which housed both law enforcement headquarters and various district courts"" These facilities helped improve policing but also created another problem; social disturbance arose from people being pushed out of their homes into downtown areas where drugs were more easily available."" This led to altercations between groups who saw themselves as opponents of organized crime" One such example happened on West Third Street near Tower Place where six people were killed" One solution seemed necessary; however, it proved elusive: until finally Mayor Dave Sieving appointed Assistant Police Chief Steve Sprague in 2001."" Sprague's arrival helped change everything - homicides plummeted while social disorder decreased"" sprague's tenure marked an important turning point for Coffee City- he implemented strategies that included deterrence programming targeting high-profile criminals along with increasing staffing levels inside departmental jails"" With better communication between different parts of city government across functions like criminal justice & public works," stability returned" Although little has changed since Sprague left office in 2009," changes have occurred "primarily through state legislation passed by Kasich' s administration last year″ making CoffeeCity once again one major player on the regional level"

Fairborn is a small town in Carroll County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,992 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Muncie Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fairborn is located on the Little Miami River, about 25 miles west of Dayton and 50 miles east of Cincinnati. The first Europeans to visit what is now Fairborn were French traders in 1678. The area was part of the Northwest Territory controlled by England until 1792 when it became part of Canada after the Treaty of Paris ended the Seven Years' War. The first settler in what is now Fairborn was John Pemberton in 1795. He leased land from Chief Tecumseh for £50 per year and built a house on what is now Court Street. In 1802, settlers began moving into this area and by 1810 there were over 20 families living here including five Apalachian Cherokees who had come down from North Carolina to settle near modern day Middletown, Ohio as well as Amos Kendall (the father-in-law of future president James K. Polk). By 1830, farming had replaced hunting as Fairborn's primary activity and many sawed logs that are still seen today to build their homes out of Douglas Fir trees which required no mowing or chipping; Prior to this method trees were felled with an axe then run through a turnip grater to get all the nutrients before shipping away for use on other farms around town where they would stack the logs high enough so that there wasn't any water damage – essentially using them as building blocks today! In 1840s local pioneer Judge George Washington Dunlap donated land north off Court Street between West Fifth Avenue and East Sixth Avenue for school purposes thereby beginning what would become known as Dunlap School District #2 which covers much of Dayton today! In 1854 Fairborn's post office was established under postal regulations passed during the Indian Removal Act which led to its present name “Fairborn”! On July 3rd 1870 Fenton Hardship Society organized a meeting at home (now called Old Courthouse Annex) to discuss ways possible reduce hardships experienced by Hardrock miners working in Bellefontaine coal field just outside Cincinnati; this organization later morphed into nonprofit organization called Federation Coal Company Limited with offices located at Fourth & Main Streets in downtown Dayton
