These donations helped improve The Veterans Memorial Hall on State Street which served as headquarters for USFV during their time in town. Additionally, a number of businesses throughout town made donations towards Operation Homecoming including Checkers Pizza & Donuts, Coca Cola Bottling Plant #1 & #2, Greeting Cards store #3-6 & 7-11 SodaStream Lounge at 5th Ave., fast food restaurant Burger King at 9th Ave., etc.. As with any type of deployment or war-time celebration, there are inevitably memories associated with these events that can never be erased! For example, many people who lived in or near Euclid during World War II will remember seeing planes flying overhead on bombing raids or participating in live fire exercises conducted at Canfield Park where troops learned how to fight using shotguns and rifles drawn from their homes “at home” using family members as instructors/spotters/firers/. Similarly, many people who grew up around The Vietnam War will remember being glued to TVs screens as images flashed across our televisions showing friends and family members serving overseas – both American citizens stationed abroad and those fighting alongside their locals – all while we waited here at home desperately hoping things would change for better one day?

Euclid is a small town in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,090 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton–Muncie Metropolitan Statistical Area. Euclid is home to two high schools and three elementary schools. The Euclid-Paulding Park neighborhood contains a large park with an amusement park, movie theater, bowling alley and other retail businesses. The city of Euclid was founded by John Ladd in 1824 as a farmstead on what is now State Route 261 (now US 82). During the 1830s and 1840s, Ladd developed the land around what are now Euclid and Paulding Park neighborhoods for sale to farmers and others. In 1851, J.H. Caldwell became one of several investors who bought rights to develop what would become Euclid into a town. On December 2, 1851, Caldwell's plat of "Euclid Township", Muskingum County OH" was recorded in an early county courthouse minutes book pages 5-8 (). On July 1, 1852 (), following approval from the Ohio General Assembly, Caldwell appointed DruryColemanCounty Engineer to design plans for Townsite #1 (). The first public meeting about Townsite #1 occurred on October 12th () when eighty citizens attended!. Construction on Townsite #1 began on November 9th () with construction of the first street corner: Main Street (). After only four months of construction (), it was apparent that there were too many errors in the plans !! A second meeting was called on December 8th () where it was decided that revisions should be made to improve accuracy!!! In January 1853 (), Committee Members met again to request changes regarding sidewalks & streets around town site !!! After much discussion it was decided that new sidewalks would go east/west between Walnut and Main Streets while existing streets would remain north/south !! This change created some controversy but ultimately resulted in more people living near their workplaces rather than going outside! In February 1863 (), mainstreetwideningprojectwasapprovedand progressed slowly due to funding shortages caused by American Civil War events !!! By May 1865(), all but one block of Main Street had been completed (& finished without any dedication ceremonies!!) However because war clouds were gathering over America®, payments for materials used during this project stopped abruptly & no further progress could be made until after hostilities ended!! All Finish Work ceased abruptly on June 30th 1865 (& finally dedicated plaque unveiling taking place 4 years later!)?!?
