It wasn’t until 1978 that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf became an independently owned business with its own roastmaster. At this point, it was clear that there was a fierce competition for customers’ attention among several local roasters – which is why The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf opted to export their beans rather than sell them directly to consumers. The success of this strategy led to other local businesses starting up similar operations over time: Sweetwater Coffee Company (1981-1982), Dutch Bros.' Delight cafe (1982-1986), Blue Bottle Coffee (1986-1993), Bick's Café (1991-1996), Jovan's Java House (1995-1999) and finally River Dog Cafe (2001-2005). All of these establishments played an important role in shaping the taste profile of Dover as an artisanal town – allowing locals to enjoy unique auditory experiences while indulging in high-quality tea or coffee products. Some of the earliest coffee shops in Dover were The Coffee House and The Dutchman. In 1868, Fannie D’Angelo opened The Coffee Shop on Main Street. Mrs. D’Angelo was a native of Italy who came to America in 1848 and started her own grocery store in Dover. She introduced Italian roast coffee to the United States and later opened a cafe on the square which served as a meeting place for city officials and others during the early days of Dover. In 1876, George Washington Carver set up his first roaster shop in Dover, selling ground beans from his farm near Delaware City. He continued roasting beans until his death in 1924. The first espresso machine was built by Angelo Giannini at The Dutchman café in 1907. It took about two hours to make one cup of espresso using five ounces (150 grams) of beans per shot. This machine became known as the “Giannini Maker” because it was made by Angelo Giannini and sold by him directly to customers at his café. Mr. Giannini also ran an ice cream parlor next door which contributed to the rapid growth of espresso consumption throughout central Ohio during this time period! In 1916, Mr. Harry Pillsbury founded The Pillsbury Coffee Company with his brother-in-law Danvers Sibley as its first president and Czar Nicholas II himself as its patron saint! At that time, Mr .Pillsbury was one of only a handful of coffee companies operating in North America!
Dover, Ohio is a town in the state of Ohio, located in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The population was 21,898 at the 2010 census. Dover is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Area. The first Europeans to explore and settle what is now Dover were French traders and explorers who visited the area in 1692-93 during their explorations of the Great Lakes region. In 1794, George Rogers Clark founded a post on Little Miami River near present day Dover when he discovered new land northwest of Columbus. It was not until 1814 that General James K. Polk established Fort Dearborn on a bluff overlooking the river just south of Dover. The fort served as an important point along the Lewis and Clark Expedition's march from Portland, Oregon to California in 1849-50 and also played an important role in America's entry into World War I as it housed American forces monitoring German submarines operating near British coasts. Dover experienced significant growth during its early years as a result of its location on two major trade routes: One led to Canton downriver and thence to Philadelphia via Delaware; another ran north-south through central Ohio leading to Louisville, Kentucky via Athens and Dayton. Notable residents during this time include Judge John Muhlenberg (1795-1860), Sir Henry Clay (1804-55), Colonel Elijah McCoy (1824-1901), Reverend James Coates (1827-1900) and Drury Lane Theatre founder David Wills Hutton (1784-1859). A post office was established at Dover in 1805, but did not become operational until 1809; by 1830, it had grown into one of central Ohio's largest cities with over 10,000 inhabitants. By 1850, about 40% of all workers in central Ohio were employed within five miles of downtowns such as Dayton or Cleveland; today this percentage stands at around 60%. During World War II several strategic points within easy range for bombers were developed at nearby Wright Field including targets near Parma Heights east of Dayton which produced plutonium for atomic weapons research; Parma Heights was abandoned after 1945 because there was no longer any need for bomber operations there since missile production began at Wright Field much closer to home. Today many reminders remain from those days including large concrete markers commemorating these sites – one can be found just west of Covington Road off Interstate 45 between Scioto Hills Mall and Fairview Park Drive across from Strong Automotive Center – warning drivers heading east onto I‑45 approaching Parma Heights never to go any further than they have already gone! On November 1st 1941 local resident Willis Chandler reactivated a dormant volunteer fire department known as “The 5” due to concerns about conditions prevailing throughout much rural America during that time period namely lack thereof fire protection services available even if called upon availability notwithstanding citizens being forced feed by federal troops occupying certain areas particularly inside urban areas without proper food rations or other equitable sustenance measures having been put into place thereby causing widespread famine with resultant death rates well above 50%. After becoming fully operative Rochester Volunteer Fire Department #5Chuck Browning made history by becoming first African American firefighter ever hired by any municipality or village in America up until then wink wink! Being organized quickly Willis Chandler appointed himself Deputy Chief which he held concurrently with his position as Mayor pro tempore effective immediately upon opening his door…. thus beginning what would eventually become long term relationships between Willis Chandler deputy chiefs Chuck Browning & Bob Hinton…..

Dover, Ohio is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 4,849 at the 2010 census. Dover is located on the Scioto River. It was founded by George Washington and his family in 1784 as a small village named Old Dover under British rule. The name was changed to Dover after the American Revolution in order to avoid confusion with nearby Philadelphia. After the War of 1812, Dover lost its status as an official town but it retained its place within Stark County until 1907 when it merged with neighboring Uniontown to form what is now called Dover-Uniontown Township. In 1927, Delaware Township was established east of Dover and became part of that township's boundary. The city of Cleveland had been expanding westward since the late 19th century and began purchasing land for incorporation as new townships were formed in Stark County. On November 3, 1912, Cleveland submitted a petition to Congress for incorporation of what would become City of Cleveland; this application resulted in the creation of Holmes Township on October 11, 1913 from portions of Delaware and Uniontown Townships (including much of present-day Dover) which then became part of Cleveland proper. As City Of Cleveland grew larger it requested annexation from Holmes Township; this request was refused on December 2nd due to strong opposition by residents who felt their community remained separate and distinct from downtown Cleveland. In 1916 City Of Cleveland obtained an ordinance granting them full cityhood which they retain to this day In 1924 Delaware Township lost its charter because it failed to meet federal requirements for racial diversity; that same year Erie County gained jurisdiction over areas east of Portsmouth Road including parts of modern-day Dover On November 3rd 1920 Warren G Harding was elected President making him first African American president U.S., setting off waves across America including protests against segregation laws throughout most major metropolitan areas Dover experienced some upheaval during World War II due to bombardments by Japanese forces during The Battle Of Portsmouth which took place near where Main Street runs today According to local legend: "Many houses stood unharmed but many others were destroyed"
Dover was founded in 1792 by a group of Englishmen who were looking for new land to settle. The town was named after the river that surrounded it, Dover Stream. The first settlers arrived in 1794 and by 1800, Dover had a population of around 100 people. In 1814, the village of Dover was incorporated as a separate town. In 1868, the United States government acquired the rest of West Virginia from Spain and gave it to the United States. This meant that Delaware County within West Virginia became part of Ohio. Dover continued to be an agricultural center until World War II when it became an industrial city because of its proximity to Ohio's manufacturing base. After the war, Dover declined again and its population reached just 50 people by 1960. However, since then its economy has revived with several new businesses opening up in recent years including a medical clinic and a pet retailer
