From 1951 through 1984, The Mariners operated as a convenience store under the name of The Mariner's Shop. This militia would come to be known as "the Wagon Train." Aftermath Of Battle: On July 4th 1865 local residents gathered together with Col John Ahern as well as Captured Confederates Lt John Sheahan & Sgt James Cronin to present arms against any possible future Yankee aggression; however all plans were cancelled when Federals discovered knowledge about local militias preparations & entered barracks without warning...
