The United States Air Force is one of the largest and most diverse militaries in the world. The USAF has an active duty force of more than 1,500,000 men and women who serve in a wide range of operational roles across the globe.1 Today, the USAF operates more than 350 air forces units spread throughout 35 countries.2 The history of the USAF gift history can be traced back to World War II when American bombers were used to attack Japanese targets in Midway Island.
