Cleveland, Ohio is home to the first maga coffee house in the United States. The Coffee House at 216 E. State Street was built on July 20, 1892 by Hungarian-born American businessman John Tesch and his wife Eliza. It became the first commercial institution in Chillicothe to serve maga coffee, which is a type of Arabica coffee beans that are roasted fresh.
Chillicothe is a small town in central Ohio on the Scioto River. The population was 3,075 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lima, Ohio Micropolitan Statistical Area. Chillicothe was founded in 1800 by English immigrants and has been an agricultural community with a focus on corn and wheat crops since its founding. In 1907, Chillicothe became one of the first towns in Ohio to adopt electric lights. The town's nickname is "The peaceful place." Believed to be founded by two travelers named John Wesley Hill and James Chalmers in 1799 as a trading post on the Scioto River known as "Hillsburgh," Chillicothe had no permanent residents until 1802 when it became a village under the name of "Cincinnati." On January 1, 1810, Cincinnati annexed Chillicothe becoming the second incorporated municipality in what would become Ohio. The town's first school was built in 1811 on State Street between Second and Third Streets; it burned down in 1812 but was rebuilt within five years. In 1830, Chilicote received its charter from the state of Ohio making it an official city Limits Town which lasted until 1912 when it merged with Lima into one consolidated government. Although there are some traces of Native American activity remaining throughout most of present-day Chillicothe Township (founded circa 1800), little evidence exists that any such people ever lived or interacted hereabouts; however, some possible early settlers may have included French Canadian trappers who passed through this area during their seasonal hunting trips along the upper Scioto Valley watershed about 1795-1800 AD; also Considerable German settlement occurred during portions of both Adams County (east) and Summit County (west) prior to 1800 due various factors including land grants issued thereto by respective British Overlords during George Washington’s tenure as Commander-in-Chief – many Germans decided to settle near western boundarylines newly open for settlement following American independence! This order resulted largely from stiff competition among several East Coast cities seeking favoritism over Cincinnati due primarily TO THE HIGH NUMBER OF GERNAMES ACCEPTED FOR NATURALIZATION HERE!!! Numerous photos extant depict various buildings located within today’s City limits that formerly comprised eastern edge Of today's much larger downtown core serving not just asahlone dwellings but also businesses/factories used extensively by numerous immigrant groups active hereduring late 19th century across multiple waves!!
