The Celina Ohio army deployed gift history began in 1941 when the United States Army Garrison was established in the town. The garrison served as a training ground for new troops and also acted as a munitions dump. In 1945, the garrison was reactivated and became known as the 6th Infantry Division Training Center. In 1951, the division moved to Fort Benning, Georgia and assumed its present name of The Sixth Infantry Division. Celina is a town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,021 at the 2010 census. Celina is located on the Scioto River and includes the towns of Davison and Highland Heights. The first permanent settler in what would become Celina was Nicholas Dayton in 1814. He built a log cabin on the Scioto River and named it Dayton for his father-in-law, Nicholas Dayton Sr., who had settle near Celina two years earlier. After John Cranch settled nearby in 1825, both men acquired land from Ottawa County through purchase or gift. In 1829, James Ketchum arrived with his family from Canada and established a log cabin on the same site as Dayton's. Ketchum name his new settlement after himself – Celina – because he thought it would be more likely to attract people to stay than other places nearby with similar names (e.g., Scioto). In 1830–31, Josephine Green removed to Celina from Bellefontaine Township in Medina County where she had been living since her arrival in America three years earlier. She operated a farm until her death in 1840; later that year also came its first schoolhouse (a one-room frame building) which served local children until 1888 when a larger school was erected by order of the state legislature at this location (see also Davison School District #1). A post office called Celina was established in 1837 but failed to take off due to lack of demand; it reopened under license from 1851 until 1863 when it became part of Mahoning County government under jurisdiction of Waterford Township. A store opened here in 1861 by Jethro Farnsworth providing general merchandise for farmers and buyers along the Scioto River valley between Maurystown and Bellefontaine Township; this store closed around 1918 when an adjacent grocery store opened up just east of town across Third Street from High School/UniversITY OF OHIO). When Union Army General Ulysses S Grant burned down Bellville during his march through central Ohio during April 1865, parts of celinas were damaged including Davis’ Store which stood across Fourth Street from High School today before being rebuilt over time as part of celinas post Office Annex Complex starting around 1924 with brick architecture typical then among small towns USA Today there are only traces remaining standing buildings left outbuildings such as old millrace still visible today restaurant original shop frontage still exist now glass storefronts remain

In 1830, two men named John Baldwin and Isaac Harmon organized a local teamsters' union at the suggestion of David Stonebank, who had moved to town from neighboring Tiffin. In 1832, when Clark's expedition discovered Cass County (Ohio) he decided to move his family to this new land. He named the new township Celina after his home state of Kentucky. Over time, Celina grew into one of Ohio's largest cities with over 200 residents. It was designated as an urban village in 1907 because it had surpassed 100% population growth rate since its incorporation as a town six years earlier! The early days of Celina were difficult times for the small town – many businesses failed during the Panic Of 1907 which left celinas residents struggling to make ends meet even though they enjoyed strong economic growth during World War I and Prohibition era periods that followed! However, through hard work and determination over time, celinas citizens have managed to rebound from some tough times- including being one of only two US communities to be hit Hard by Hurricane Andrew in 1992! Today, celinas citizens are proud members of their community which boasts vibrant nightlife options as well as world-renowned universities such as Cleveland State University & Case Western Reserve University among others located throughout downtown areas like East Market Street & Third Avenue North / West Side Boulevard - making it easily accessible for anyone interested in learning or doing something interesting!
