By 1903, The Coffee House had become one of the largest small-batch coffee businesses in the United States! In 1916 philanthropist Harry Kendall founded Kendall Coffee Company which was one of the earliest companies to produce cold brew Coffee using fresh roasted beans. In 1958 Harry Kendall passed away but his legacy lives on through Kendall’s daughter Laura who now operates The Harry Kendall Foundation which helps supportsmall batch coffees around the world! The first beans were roasted and ground on the family’s farm near Zanesville. For many years, the company brewed its own water and used only local fruit and flowers for flavorings. In 1924, Mr. Hessel passed away, leaving his business to his son John P. Jr., who continued growing the company and expanding production into other countries before selling it to Peet’s Coffee Corporation in 1970. With Peet's ownership came a new commitment to quality control and sustainable practices that have made Brook Park Coffee one of the world’s most respected coffee companies.
Brook Park is a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,955 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village was founded in 1824 by General David Brook and his wife Sarah Smith as a small community on the Scioto River near what is now University Heights. The first settler had been named John Brooks but this name was changed to Brook because of General David's donation of land for its establishment. Brook Park became an official town in 1868 and annexed the neighboring towns of Eastlake and Westlake that same year. In 1935, it merged with the neighboring village of Woodhaven to form one large Village. TheVillage has since undergone many changes including being abandoned for about two decades due to economic problems; however, it has slowly started to comeback thanks to new businesses and residents coming back into the area. In recent years there have been efforts made to make Brook Park a more interactive community with updated infrastructure such as greenways and public transportation options available within walking distance of most homes.

Brook Park is a census-designated place in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,636 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron–Canton Combined Statistical Area. The area that now makes up Brook Park was first settled by the Shawnee Indians in the 17th century. The first white settler in what would become Brook Park was John Copley, who moved from Rhode Island in 1814 and opened a tannery on White Oak creek near modern day West Side Drive and Euclid Road. In 1821, he sold his tannery to James Wilkinson for $1,000. Brook Park became a village in 1838, when it merged with nearby Zoarstown to form the new village of Zoarstown and Brook Park. In 1878 it merged with adjacent Mayfield into the new city of Cleveland. While residents of Cleveland continued to live within their original boundaries until 1893 when they were annexed by Akron as part of that city's broader redevelopment efforts,[2] all of today's Brook Park neighborhoods (save for one small section north of White Oak creek) formed part of Akron during this time period.[3] The early years of Brook Park were very rough; there were few homes and most people lived outdoors without indoor plumbing or electricity until after World War II when electric streetlights began appearing throughout much of America. Residents had to share privies with other villages such as Mayfield which also resided outside the limits set by City Hall since those areas did not have water rights or enough land to support a town/village/city status quo.[4][5] One issue which residents frequently faced was lack access to education; many children grew up illiterate due to poverty and lack thereof opportunities available at that time[6]. Over time however, schools started opening up and more families were able to send their children off into school so that even though many residents still could not read or write themselves they could learn about important subjects like mathematics and science through books - something which still plays an important role today in many aspects of life here including healthcare!
Brook Park was founded in 1818 by John Brook and his wife, Betsy. The first residents of Brook Park were family members of John and Betsy Brook. The land for the park was donated by John and Betsy's brother, Nicholas Brooks. The park was originally known as "Fishers Branch." In 1838, the name changed to "Brook Park" after President James K. Polk established a national park in that year.
