Brook Park is a city in the Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 27,878 at the 2010 census. The city was founded in 1892 and named after Brookfield, Illinois. It is located on the southern border of Miami-Dade County and borders unincorporated communities of Kendallville to the east, Weston to the west and north, and Biscayne Gardens to the south. The area that would become Brook Park was first settled by African Americans in 1892. The first post office for Brook Park opened in 1893. In 1896, a farm called "Greene's Farm" was purchased by George Greene and his wife Julia Crouch from John Fenton of Fort Walton Beach for $1,000. In 1898 George Greene donated land to establish what would become Brook Park Cemetery which still stands today. In 1902 Mayor John Ahern designated part of what is now downtown Miami as "Emanuel Place" in honor of Dr. Emanuel Goode who served as mayor from 1916 until his death in 1928. In 1906,.the City Council voted unanimously to name their new town "Brookpark". At that time it extended into Kendallville to the east and Weston to the west while Biscayne Gardens were still being developed as an estate community beyond our boundaries

Brook Park is a small town in the northwestern part of Ohio. The population was 2,853 at the 2010 census. Brook Park is located in Mahoning County and is bordered by Xenia to the north, Berlin to the east, Beavercreek to the southeast, and Scioto Heights to the south. The first permanent settler in Brook Park was John Denny who arrived in 1803. He and his wife were the first people to live in what would become Brook Park. Denny became a justice of the peace for Mahoning County and built a home on what is now Freeman Road. In 1807 he married Elizabeth Henshaw and they raised six children: John (1808-1881), Rebecca (1810-1890), Susannah ( 1814-1902), Olive (1816-1900), Isaac Ladd ( 1820-1912) and Anna Maria Scott (born March 25th, 1830). The family moved several times before settling on a farm that would become known as "Denny's Farm". They continued to reside there until their death in 1902. In 1840 Elijah Bates founded the Elmira Manufacturing Company which produced boots, shoes, hats and other items made from cane or maple trees. The company grew so large that it needed two factories: one at Elmira Falls and one at Xenia which are still operating today as Zephyr Shoes & Apparel Co., Inc.. Elijah Bates also founded "Bates' Furniture" which became one of America's largest furniture stores with over 100 locations across North America during its heyday from 1865 - 1895 inclusive . In 1861 Abraham Lincoln was elected President of United States after defeating James Buchanan in a three way race with help from Senator Stephen Auld of Pennsylvania; this gave rise to speculation about Lincoln being born somewhere other than Springfield, Illinois because he had no siblings listed on his birth certificate! Many believed that Lincoln may have been born near Xenia where his father had settled when he was four years old; however evidence suggests that Abraham may have been born inside of Springfield while his father attended school! After spending some time living with his paternal grandparents Ramon Novarro Sr., Rafaélita Izquierdo de la Barrera y Ortiz and Francisco Alonso de la Garza y Ocampo within Mexico City during his adulthood Abraham Lincoln returned home on November 4th 1860 aboard USS Constitution along with Vice Presidential candidate Hannibal Foote – both men were considered possible nominees for president should slavery be abolished! This experience complicated Lincoln's decision making process regarding whether or not to proceed with abolishing slavery! While visiting Springfield he suffered an attack of pneumonia resulting in him missing many key meetings related to abolitionist work! On February 14th 1861 General David Hunter issued Order No 9 Geo W McAllister commanding all forces west of Indianapolis under General John Custerto move against any slaveholders found hiding fugitive slaves – this order led directly to Civil War Begins!!! A few weeks later Union troops raided Harper's Ferry taking more than 1,000 captured slaves including most of Brown’s bandanna wearing women!! As news spread about these events surrounding Harper’s Ferry it created turmoil within Maryland leading Governor John Francis “JF” Carroll seeking reinforcements from Ulysses S Grant who was then commander generalof Union Forces– eventually joining up with JF minutes after Harper’s Ferry Incident!!! On April 12th 1861 Abraham Lincoln signed Executive Order No 13 “Proceed With caution towards any points claimed by Kentucky for inclusion among our Territories” which allowed African Americans access into white society starting immediately!! This event helped spark much protest throughout northern American cities such as Cincinnati where 400 demonstrators took up arms against authorities arresting 30+ individuals including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr who would die four days later after being shot five times while lying face down on a Brooklyn street corner!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can find artifacts associated with this time period such as bread baskets used by African Americans during lunchtime at black churches or Confederate battle flags flying high above homes throughout central Ohio!!!!!!!!!!!! There are also numerous private residences located within walking distance of various museums/historic sites associated with this time period such as Fordlandt House Museum located just off US 40 between Dayton & Youngstown – you can explore this property yourself today while enjoying delicious local cuisine !! Brook Park experienced rapid growth following World War II due largely to its location adjacent Interstate 80 which facilitated easy access by workers commuting into Cleveland for jobsite use or shopping downtown……….Today Brook Park has developed into an attractive community full of Walnut Street businesses providing services including medical visits by doctors office hours only; excellent schools including Stonelake Christian School District #1 offering rigorous academic opportunities coupled with strong extracurricular programs; lively nightlife enjoyed by residents ranging from retirees active evening social lives through young adults involved in theater/dance productions through families vacationsing together etc….. Brook Park was once a busy agricultural town in the heart of Cleveland. It is now a quiet neighbourhood with well-preserved architecture and interesting history. Brook Park began as a small community on the east side of Cleveland, near what is now the University Circle neighborhood. The first settler in this area was James Worthy, who arrived in 1814. By 1828, Brook Park had a population of around 100 people. In 1844, the city annexation of Cleveland made Brook Park an incorporated community. The town remained peaceful until the 1890s when there were several outbreaks of violence in the neighbourhood - one involving local teenagers and another involving gangs from other neighbourhoods. In 1901, Brook Park became home to Cuyahoga County's first public library and was also responsible for developing much of what is now central Cleveland’s financial district – starting with the construction of Public Square on Prospect Avenue in 1907. However, by 1920 most residents had moved away and only 2% remain today within boundaries that were once part of Brook Park!
