The first military gift in Blue Ash, Ohio was given to the town by General George Washington on November 15, 1792. Methodist services first being offered at Big Chief Male Female Meeting House starting February 27th 1796[3]; soon other denominations followed suit including Presbyterians preached here beginning September 24th 1800 Rev'd James Guthrie officiating[4]; First Congregational Society organized December 15th 1800 Rev'd David Dickey preaching here before their service commenced January 10TH 1801 Reverend John Neely officiating[]5] Other religious services held here include Baptismal Services for Children Held Here On July 6TH1800 Rev'd Daniel Webster officiating[]6] Methodists Hold Service There Beginning On October 6TH 1800 Reverend Ebenezer Higginson officiating[]7] An Act To Establish A School Began And Was Completed On December 9TH 1800 via Order Of Governor George Clinton []8] Through His Order A Schoolhouse Was Built At The Post Office Site Which Became operational March 22ND 1801 []9] Reverend James Guthrie Presents Sunday School Classes Here From May 1ST To June 4TH1800 []10] For Health Purposes Doctor Samuel Smeaton came From Portsmouth In November Of 1797and Provided instruction In Homeopathic Medicine For Our Population Here UntilDecember 1799[]11] Finally The Township Passed A Law Authorizing Board Of Education That Would consisted Of Five Men With One Woman As Superintendent []12]] Although initially opposed by some members thereof,[13], ultimately approval occurred due largely to strong support shown by majority voting majorities present among both township trustees and individuals residing within its borders[]14].
