The Berea Army Store has been in business since 1912. It is one of the oldest military stores in Ohio. The store was started by a man named Dolphus Berea and his wife, Emma. They opened the store on West Main Street in Berea, Ohio. In 1916, the store moved to its current location on North High Street in Berea. The store continues to be a major supplier of military supplies to the local army and navy units and otherendorstty organizations throughout central Ohio. Berea, Ohio is a small town located in the state of Ohio. The town was founded in 1814 by James K. Berea and his wife Anna. The town became a city in 1907, and it joined the Cleveland Metropolitan Area on July 1, 1996. Berea is part of the Euclid-Cleveland-University Heights, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2010 census, the population of Berea was 14,484. The name "Berea" comes from one of two roots that were used to create the name: berry or beech tree (from Old English berri meaning 'to pluck'). The other root came from Greek boulei meaning 'to break open' which would give you towns like Mayfield and Bloomfield Township (). According to history books, Berea was first settled by families who started coming here around 1795 AD when they left their home in Butler County for unknown reasons. After some time there were also Italian immigrants who arrived here around 1800 AD as well as Germans who moved here after being displaced during the American Revolution. By 1830 many businesses had been built in what is now downtown Berea including a gristmill and sawmill which helped support local agriculture until about 1850 when rail transportation made farm production less necessary and new industry started emerging such as tanning beds which soon became an important part of village life. In 1875 US Congressman Peter Paha purchased 4 acres near downtown for $2 per acre which he donated to build Paha Park today! Around this time many people began moving away from rural areas into cities due to technological advances such as steamboats that could travel great distances downriver where they could find work on larger vessels or go off shore to fish or do other business ventures ashore). With only a handful of farmers remaining living northeast of downtown Berea real estate prices rose rapidly with settlers purchasing much larger lots on high ground close to riversidesteamboats dotting central Ohio shoresidespending years perfecting their land holdings working towards becoming self sufficient through industry while enjoying rare views of river valleys far below their homes! In 1907 when Cleveland annexed all five villages within its boundaries - including Berea - city officials decided that it would make more sense if all residents lived together so renamed downtown Pereira Boulevard after then City Manager Harry Pereira. At first most residents objected because they felt that their community should have remained separate but eventually accepted because without them it would not have functioned efficiently as a city with its own police department fire department etceteras . When Cleveland annexed again in 1964 most residents voted formaly against joining forces with exception of 4 individuals who did not want their house divided between those living inside & outside OFCLEWORDLY BOUNDARIES The merger has been successful for many reasons including having one governing body allowing more flexibility & better coordination among municipalities; having unified finances making it easier for businesses sponsorships are available; transferring knowledge & resources across municipal borders making collaboration easier; sharing services such as streetlights etceteras making everyday tasks more efficient .....There are still some dissidents within ourcommunity tho ...... despite these challenges we continue trying harder every day
