In 1887, the business moved to its current location and became known as the Factory. In 1912, the Factory merged with another business, the Dayton Coffee Company, which made it one of the largest coffee businesses in Ohio. The Factory closed in 1974 but reopened as an independent store in 1982. The Business was sold to Peet's Coffee Corporation in 1992 and closed again in 2006.
Beavercreek is a small town in the western part of Ohio, about 26 miles (41 km) east of Dayton. The population was 5,814 at the 2010 census. Beavercreek is known for its agricultural products, namely beavers and their dams that produce the water supply for other towns in the area. The name "Beavercreek" originated from the word beaver which means "to run quickly." The first settler in the area was John C. Beaver who arrived in 1824 and named the community after himself and his wife Sarah Ann Crawford. As time passed other settlers followed suit with names such as Prentice, Morse, Haggerty, Wittman and others. In 1868 when it was organized as a township of Columbiana County, Beavercreek had a population of 2,000 people. By 1900 its population had grown to 10,500 people making it one of the most populous townships in county history at that time.
