In 1945, during the Cold War era, Beachwood AFB gave a donation for Operation Crossroads which was responsible for liberating Europe from Nazi occupation. The AFB donated another million dollars in 1978 forOperation Desert Storm which destroyed Hussein’s regime in Iraq. In 1990, Beachwood AFB donated a total of two million dollars for Operation Gulfstream III which supported NATO operations in Yugoslavia. Additionally, since 2002 beachwood has contributed an annual $10 million to support Ohio’s military veterans through The Warrior Foundation program. In this time period there have been many changes at Beachwood AFB as well; however, one constant is the dedication to giving back to its community and residents alike through donations both large and small. As we continue into 2018 and into 2019 preparations are underway for hostinguri-2020 editionof The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Art Competition at our facility-a competition that is Seattle’s most prestigious art event honoring service members from all branches of our Armed Forces across America!

The Beachwood Air Force Base gift history dates back to 1944. At that time, the United States Air Forces stationed at Beachwood consisted of just a few officers and enlisted personnel. The base was initially small, with a single aircraft hangar. However, over time, the air force grew and more facilities were needed on the base. In 1944, General Omar Bradley ordered an expansion of the beachwood airfield in order to accommodate more bombers and fighters. The new runway and hangars were erected on what is now known as East Campus of Beachwood AFB. This Expansion also led to the addition of a large ammunition magazine which served as the main storage depot for fighter planes on the base. In 1951, General Leslie Groves visited Beachwood AFB and impressed upon its commanders the importance of providing heavy bomber operations from bases all over America in support of American troops fighting in Korea. As a result, additional wings were added to Beachwood AFB including Strategic Wing (the first such wing within United States Air Forces) in 1957 and Tactical Wing (the second such wing within United States Air Forces) in 1959-60. In 1966-1967 military exercises took place at both South Korean towns of Paju and Wonsan near their respective borders with North Korea; these exercises threatened Pyongyang's control over southernmost Manchuria - an important border region for war preparations against China proper. In response to this military exercise by North Korea, President Lyndon Johnson announced his decision not to invade South Korea but instead pursue economic sanctions against Pyongyang until it ceases its aggression towards South Koreans - actions that would eventually lead to US involvement in Vietnam War (1968-1975). Withdrawal from Vietnam began soon afterwards however; due largely to budgetary restrictions at home following LBJ's election victory in 1968 – making possible increased spending on domestic programs instead of Middle Eastern wars – although there was some Continuity Ops activity planned for after withdrawal (e.g., Operation Neptune’s Spear), these activities ultimately diminished post-Vietnam missions focus from USAF/ARMY & Navy squadrons/wings/flights etc….. Ultimately many USAF groups/units retired or converted out during 1970s…. [emphasisadded]
Beachwood, Ohio is a small town in the state of Ohio. The population was 2,584 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati–Middletown, OH-KY-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Beachwood was originally part of the Township of Canfield on the eastern border of what is now Cincinnati. Canfield had a population of about one thousand people in 1800 and by 1830 it had grown to nearly three hundred. In 1845, when Canfield township was split into two parts—the eastern part went to Dayton and the western part went to Beachwood—Beachwood also became a part of that new township. At first there were no schools in Beachwood because it was too far away from downtown for students to walk or take buses; but by 1860 there were six school districts in central Ohio and each one established a school for its own children. By 1870 there were twelve such schools in central Ohio and Beachwood had become an important center for education within that larger group of towns. The first post office in Beachwood opened on October 15, 1868, with A. Ladd as first sender. The name change to Beech Street Post Office on November 1st due to objections from other towns who felt their name should be given first because they were closer to the beach where mail would be delivered (the old post office building still stands). In 1898–99, local businessmen David Hogg and Reuben Wiegand built a dam across White Marsh Creek so they could irrigate their crops using water diverted from White Marsh Lake which then filled up with salt water during winter months making ice cream available year-round at various local businesses including Joe’s Place restaurant nearpresent day Third Avenue and West 4th Street). This Provided muchneeded employment for locals during those difficult times and helped make Live Oak Road into one of Miami County’s most popular tourist destinations today! There are several interesting stories associated with this particular event including: When construction started on the dam workers discovered that white oak trees growing along White Marsh Creek had been cut down so severely by developers that some remain standing today providing valuable lumber;during excavation work workers encountered an unusual animal specimen consisting only of tooth marks inside an ancient cedar tree located just outside town limits;therefore all cedars found within five miles radius must be counted as property belongingto Town Of Beachwood before being offered for sale;and finally when finished almost everyone present Including Workmen reached White Marsh just priorTo official dedication & parade leading up To Dam Site where Refreshment wagons waited

The Eisenhower administration took action to build an American Air Force and on July 1, 1957, the USAF became operational with its first aircraft: a Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star. The USAF has played an important role in America's history since its inception and has been instrumental in many battles including World War II, Korea and Afghanistan. Beachwood is a small town in southwestern Ohio, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. Beachwood has been inhabited since the 17th century and is known for its Holland maple syrup production. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Beachwood were French fur traders, who camped there during the winter of 1696-97. They named their settlement "Beachwood" after Beaune (now Bordeaux), France, where they had been trading goods with Native Americans. The first post office was established in 1827 in what is now the town of Beachwood. In 1851, a school was built in what is now the town center and remained open until it closed in 1922. In 1892, Henry Clay Frick founded The Cleveland Rubber Company here. It remains one of Beachwood's most important businesses to this day and still employs many people today. In 1922, Beachwood became part of the newly formed city of Cleveland. At that time it had a population of just over 1,000 people and little else than agriculture as its only industry. However, over the next few decades all sorts of new businesses came into being here – from printing presses to toy stores – all driving growth for this small community on cleveland's east side. This rapid growth didn't come without some difficulties though: By 1970 there were only around 100 residents living in what are now downtown Beachwood; by 2000 that number had swollen to more than 2,000! But despite these bumps along the way – both good and bad – things have really started to change for beachWood lately: In 2009 they elected their first female Mayor! And last year they hosted their very own 'festivals & events' celebration which saw them attract more than 150 vendors from throughout Northeast Ohio! All told it seems that despite all odds – even against waves of modernization – beachWood has managed to stay one step ahead every step of its long history...

However, during World War I and II, Beachwood was boomtown with businesses such as aviation manufacturers manufacturing planes and missiles for US military forces. The war-time economy crashed however and by 1970 Beachwood had only about 10 residents remaining
