In 1911, John Hildebrandt Aiken Sr.'s brother-in-law, Harry Laughlin bought The Gilded Age Store from his father-in-law and reopened it as The Laughlin Mercantile Company which remained open until 1978 when it merged with Cushman & Wakefield to form Wacoal Corporation. Williston Post Office was established on July 16, 1907 (date unknown). At that time there were only 10 residents in Williston and post office was conducted from an old mill on the river bank which had been converted into a post office building that year by J F McConnell and Sons Limited under contract from the US Postal Service. On November 5th 1923, Wacoal Corporation merged with General Electric Company's telephone company Western Electric Telephone Company to become Wacoal Radio Corporation (#5276). However this merger did not occur until January 15th 1954 when both companies amalgamated again as American Telstar Incorporated (#5269). The City Council met first on December 12th 1865 while still divided between Fargo (north) and Rapid City (south) councils due to attempted bitter rivalry between these two cities over water rights along South Dakota state line - seewaterpoliticsofnorthdakota for more details about this issue dating back to early 1870s conflict between these two cities over boundary issues arising out of disputes over Indian hunting grounds south of present day Fargo/South Dakotan border

For example, on July 7th, 1921 (just two years after incorporation), WILLISTON CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION PASSED A resolution authoring the construction of NORTH DAKOTA STATE HOSPITAL; which would eventually become known as NORTH DAKOTA HOSPITAL AND SOCIAL WORKS CORP.; which still stands today as one of North Dakota’s most iconic landmarks! Additionally, on November 15th 1909 WILLISTON PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT BEGAN THE OPERATIONS OF THEIR FIRST KINDERGARTEN; which currently houses the building that housed Fenton Elementary School from 1957-1975 before being replaced by Willowbrook Elementary School In spite of all these wonderful accomplishments by Williston residents over the years- there are also some really sad stories associated with them too! One notorious case involved one man who committed suicide after his business failed miserably due to lack of investment money Additionally another sad story involves someone who killed their child while living in Williston; however this particular story does have an happy ending Finally, one very famous resident from Williston is Gene Simmons – yes Gene Simmons from rock band Ozzy Osbourne
