The Mandan Coffee Company was founded in 1919 and soon became one of the leading beans-growing companies in America. In 1941, company ownership passed from Mandan to Prairie Coffee Corporation, which continued to produce high-quality coffee until it merged with J.G. FarbCooper & Sons in 1971.
Mandan is a town in Jackson County, North Dakota. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Jackson County. The name "Mandan" means "headwaters of the Missouri River." The first European settlement in Mandan was made by Danish immigrants in 1871. A post office was established there on July 12, 1872, and the town received its current name on February 3, 1907. The discovery of oil in ND in 1938 gave impetus to development around the town and led to an increase in population from 2,000 to 9,000 over the next few decades. By 1990, Mandan had reached its present size with 10,500 residents. Mandan is home to a United States Air Force Base which has been providing services for military personnel and their families since 1951. In addition to air traffic control and other related functions at AFB Red Cloud/Dakota City-Hull(KFSD), Mandan also houses a prison (Criminal Justice Center) as well as two elementary schools and one high school. In recent years there has been discussion about relocating AFB Red Cloud/Dakota City-Hull(KFSD) closer to Mandan so that it would be within easy access for local businesses as well as provide more housing options for soldiers and their families stationed there.

Today, we enjoy a wide variety of fresh-roasted coffees from all around the world including Indonesia, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Africa (including Kenyan), Asia (including Japan), Australia and New Zealand - just to name a few!
