The United States Air Force has a long and rich air force deployment gift history. From the beginning, the USAF has been involved in numerous deployments around the world. Many times during World War II, theAAF was called upon to deploy combat aircraft and crews to fight in overseas theaters. In 1951, when Korea began, President Harry S Truman called for an aerial bombardment of North Korea as a prelude to UN forces coming into action. The USAF contribution was significant with Fifteenth Air Force launchingbombing raids against North Korea on June 25th and 26th which resulted in 103 dead and over 500 wounded. On October 13th, 1952Major General Curtis LeMay made a statement at Fargo’s Titan-I air show declarating that “the Korean war is over” but it wasn’t quite clear how this declaration would play out. It turned out that North Korea had secretly resumed hostilities against South Korea leading to more than 50% of all USAF fatalities during the conflict! In response to the Korean War, Congress passed the National Security Act of 1947 which established USAF as an establishment within US government responsible for providing strategic military aviation services worldwide. This gave rise to what is now known as Global Strike Command (GSCom) which provides airpower support for conventional operations anywhere in the world including Afghanistan and Iraq! One of GSCom’s first deployments was Operation Neptune Spear on December 8th, 2003 when A-10 Thunderbolt II planes flew from Anaconda AFB, MT en route to Incirlik AB Turkey conducting strikes against targets inside Iraq! The A-10 also flew back home successfully completing its second mission! A number of other USAF deployments have occurred in recent years such as Operation Noble Eagle – bombing runs against Taliban positions near Kunar Province Afghanistan on February 14th;Operation Enduring Freedom – flown missions into Afghanistan between November 11th and December 6th; Operation Iraqi Freedom – flown missions into Iraq between March 3rd and May 31st;and also Northern Ireland Operations Joint Task Force (JSOC) – flying missions over Northern Ireland between January 16th and February 12th 2002 were just some examples! Overall, these deployments have served two primary purposes: training members of US Forces abroad while also providing humanitarian assistance should something happen ashore or below decks aboard ships or aircraft operating in international airspace! This paper will focus specifically on one particular deployment -Operation Christmas Tree -conducted by GSCom from Helmand Province Afghanistan on November 24ths through December 2nd 2009! God Bless America...and Our Military
The Air Force has a long and proud history of deploying gifts to support our nation. From the humble soldier in uniform, to the president or first lady, every member of the military is entrusted with stewardship of America’s defense. The Air Force has an extensive gift program that supports service members and their families through giving back to our country. In recent years, the Air Force has become increasingly reliant on technology for its operations. With so much at stake, it is important that we continue to invest in cutting-edge technologies that will keep us safe and support our mission. One such technology is air force deployed gift (AFDG). Afdg was created in 2006 as a way for the Air Force to provide unique and memorable gifts for commanders and other senior leaders across all branches of service. It provides commanders with an easy way to order personalized items, as well as a means to track how many gifts have been delivered and what impact they’ve had. AFDG also allows commanders to create unique commemorative items for special occasions or events. Since its inception, AFDG has received feedback from commanders across the Pentagon who are grateful for its convenience and ability to make personalized gifts quickly and easily. A few examples include: Special Operations Command (SOCOM), which uses AFDG extensively for Commander-in-Chief visits; Europe Command (EuCOM), which uses it for commander exercises; Headquarters United States Army (HQUSA) Europe, which uses it for visiting generals; Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MCFAP), which uses it for awarding unit awards;and Joint Chiefs of Staff Research & Development Directorate (JCR&DD), which uses it for creating new products and services

The United States Air Force has been deploying gift-wrapped air force personnel and equipment for many years now. The tradition began in the early days of the USAF when officer cadet wings were given as gifts to officers in the military. From there, it spread and grew until present day. The USAF Gift History website provides an extensive history of gift-wrapping within the USAF. It begins with an overview of what was once a relatively new tradition within the USAF, where officer cadet wings were given as gifts to officers in the military. From there, it grows until present day with a wealth of information on all manner of deployed air service personnel and equipment. One important aspect that is often overlooked within this history is how gift-wrapping has evolved over time. In previous generations, most RAF personnel received their equipment or aircraft wrapped in parchment paper rather than plastic wrap or foil tape (although exceptions are made). This method allowed for greater accuracy and detail when creating a unique presentation for each individual airman/unit. Once digital technology became available, however, gift wrapping became even more intricate and painstakingly planned than ever before. This article will discuss how both RAF personnel and USAAF assets have been Wrapped over time - from pre-digital days through to modern times!
