Salisbury is a small town in the Granville County seat of Salisbury, North Carolina. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area. The first coffee shop in Salisbury opened in 1865 and was run by John Fenton. In 1971, Julius Nyquist opened his own coffee shop and named it after his father, Julius Nyquist Sr., who had been a major player in the early days of North Carolina coffee culture. In 1988, Bob's Coffee became one of the first Starbucks stores in North Carolina when it opened on Hwy 93 near Pittsboro. By 2001, Starbucks had built two more stores in Salisbury: One on Second Street and one on High Street. In 2006, Barnes & Noble closed its Salisbury store due to financial problems; however, they reopened it as an online store soon afterward. In 2009 Tim Hortons began operations in Salisbury with six locations across the state; however, their presence ended within a few months because of high electric bills from their equipment located throughout downtown Salisbury . In 2013 Arby's announced that they would be opening their first restaurant outside of North America inside of PNC Arena inside what will become home court for the NC State Wolfpack men’s basketball team during the 2014-15 season On October 17th 2015 Dunkin' Donuts announced that they have bought out Arby's franchise for $27 million

Salisbury is a small town in North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,564 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Carteret County. Salisbury is located on the Salisbury River, about 15 miles (24 km) northeast of downtown Raleigh and about 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Greensboro. The town's founder, John Leland, arrived in 1792 from London and founded what would become Salisbury on the banks of the Salisbury River. In 1811, settlers from Scotland moved to what is now Salisbury and built a log Fort Louden on the riverbank. The Scots also erected a large white-washed building known as "The Old fort." This structure served as an arsenal until 1829 when it was destroyed by fire. In that year, Captain James Aiken purchased the fort and used it as his home until his death in 1875. In 1865, General William Tatum established Camp Hill north of present-day Salisbury for Confederate soldiers during the American Civil War. After their surrender at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865, these troops were transported to nearby Andersonville Prison where they suffered greatly from disease and malnutrition before being released in 1865. Salisbury post office opened in 1827; it was discontinued in 1907. In 1899–1900 construction began on what would become State Capitol Park which fronts Onslow Street between Meeting Street and Tryon Avenue; this park replaced an earlier site near present-day Duke University Campus which had been donated by Governor Johnston Rutherford Lee Jr.. The new Capitol was completed in 1901 after years of construction cost overruns by state officials led to its nickname "The White House". Additionally, it was not until the early 20th century that machines began to be developed which allowed for finer-grained roastings which resulted in increased quality and complexity in the cup. Today, high-quality coffee is still produced primarily within Africa, Indonesia, and South America. These regions have long histories of producing premium Coffee Bean products which has led to some truly unique flavors and experiences when trying these beans out for yourself.

Salisbury is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 10,689 at the 2000 census. Salisbury is part of the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area. It lies on the Yadkin River and is located about 12 miles (19 km) west of downtown Raleigh. The town was founded by Captain John Smith in 1709 as a trading post on the Yadkin River. In 1758, General James Johnston's cavalry regiment stopped near Salisbury for supplies when they were attacked by Indians; Johnston's travel journal records that "the Indians . . . brake open our meat stores and did great damage". By 1800, Salisbury had become an important transportation center on the river because it had a wharf whereboats could be unloaded and reloaded with goods before reaching the downstream towns of Hillsborough and Cary. Salisbury is a town in Salisbury County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,584 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Raleigh–Durham Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Salisbury was John Rutherford who arrived in 1792. He built a cabin on the site that still stands today. In 1824, Nathaniel Reynolds settled in what became Salisbury and he named it for his ancestral home in England. The name change came about because there were not many English people living around then and most residents spoke local dialects of English which changed depending on the time period or place they lived in (e.g., "Old Salisbury" was considered to be from before 1670 when colonists first arrived). In 1865, fighting between Union and Confederate troops led to the death of 12 men near where present-daySalisbury sits; this event helped spur development within the community as area farmers began to sell goods available only at specific points along the warring armies' routes of march. For many years after that fateful day, much of what exists today within town limits had been donated by various descendants of those killed in battle or their families - including several buildings on Uptown Square that are still used today as businesses such as restaurants and stores. According to one estimation, over 60% of all jobs within town limits during the late 20th century were related to manufacturing - making it an important center for economic growth throughout much of central North Carolina during this time period. However, with recent economic downturns and decreases in demand for many products manufactured here, some residents have decided to move away from high-paying jobs into other parts of central NC or out into surrounding counties looking for more affordable housing options.
