Mint Hill is a small town in North Carolina, located on the banks of the Yadkin River. The population was 3,814 at the 2010 census. Mint Hill is home to several churches and other religious institutions as well as a large number of businesses. The town first originated in 1771 when English colonists founded a trading post on the site. The name "Mint Hill" likely derived from the mint that had been established in Great Britain by Queen Anne in 1702. In 1812, General Robert Elisha Johnston's army destroyed an Indian village near Mint Hill, effectively quelling any Native American resistance to British occupation. In 1819, Mint Hill became part of Raleigh County and was designated as its county seat. On July 1, 1907, Raleigh County merged with Durham County to form Wake County. As Wake County grew increasingly suburban and commercialized, Mint Hill lost much of its importance as a center for filmmaking and creative expression. However, it remains one of the few municipalities remaining in North Carolina that hosts both a movie theater (the AMC Eastwood Place) and a comic book store (Gemini Comics). Today, MintHill retains some Charm and historical value which makes it great place for tourists to visit during summertime or during special events like All-American BBQ Festival or Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The first roast shops opened up in the early 1800s and by 1825, at least 10 different cafes had opened in London alone. By 1830, French traders had started Carrefour Coffee House in Soho where they would sell fresh roasted coffee beans from all over Europe. In 1865, Dutch entrepreneur Frans Hogenberg started the Nieuwe Amsterdam Coffee House which served up fresh roasted coffee from various parts of Holland including Amsterdam itself. In 1872, he reopened his business under the name 'Nu differentiatione Koffiehuis'. This shop was famous for its excellent Turkish Delight coffee which was blended with sugar and cream then baked until light golden brown. It soon became one of the most popular tourist destinations for Dutch people travelling to England and Germany during this time period (1870-1920). 3 years later, on October 3rd 1875 Jochem Morgenroth founded what is now known as Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle Washington after meeting some friends while working at Nieuwe Amsterdam Coffee House. He decided to open a small store called The Peet's Coffeehouse because he felt that there was not enough variety or quality available online or even within town limits given how much people traveled during this time period (early 20th century). Today we enjoy over 350 million cups of brewed coffee each year!
