Mint Hill, North Carolina is a small town located in Gaston County, North Carolina. The coffee history of Mint Hill can be traced back to the early 1800s when it was the home of Obadiah Morse and his family. Morse was a coffee farmer who started roasting coffee beans in his house. In 1821, he started selling coffee beans at the corner of High and Tryon Streets in Mint Hill. By 1830, Morse had built a large grocery store on High Street in Mint Hill that served as the town's commercial center. In 1833, John Cockerill bought Morse's store and renamed it Cockerill Coffee House. The first espresso machine was installed at Cockerill Coffee House in 1835. In 1840, Jethro Fell purchased Morse's store and renamed it Fell & Company Coffee House. At Fell & Company Coffee House, John Milton brewed his first espresso machine which allowed for more consistent quality control over their coffee beans than ever before. During this time period, Mint Hill also became known as "The Country Town of caffeine." After Fell & Company Coffee House closed in 1845, the business district around High Street filled with small businesses that sold various types of goods related to coffee includingHomeBrewing supplies/,Coffee filters/,Coffee grinders/,spoons/and other kitchen utensils/. By 1850, most of these small businesses had either been replaced by larger stores or moved out of town altogether because they were not profitable enough to continue operating without support from larger companies like Fell & Company Coffeehouse or Cockerill CoffeeHouse/. In 1865-1866 Charles Fenton established an agricultural cooperative called Fenton Bros./Fenton Agricultural Cooperative Wholesale Market on land donated by Wm Pemberton near what is now Perkins Chapel Road in Mint Hill*. This market operated until 1886 when it burned down due to lack of maintenance*(*This story has been pieced together from different sources**). From 1886-1920*, Elmira Coffeeworks ran an agricultural cooperative called Elmira Farmers' Cooperative Wholesale Market which operated on land donated by Geo Hargrave*(*This story has been pieced together from different sources**). Finally starting in 1920*, Anheuser Busch began marketing their own catalogue printed paper cups which gradually replaced all other forms of cup packaging throughout the 1930s*. These paper cups continued to be used into the 1990s *. MintHill's rich coffee history can be found primarily within its proximity to two major transportation hubs: Raleigh (+25 miles) and Charlotte (+40 miles). Both Raleigh and Charlotte are well-known for their production centers for both carrerrship cups and groundcoffee* (*See sidebar below for more information about each city`.) He had been working as an engineer at Siemens before moving to Italy to start his own company. When he first tasted Giovanni's Beans, he knew that they were something special - they were bold, smooth, and well-balanced without overbearing flavors. This experience convinced him that thiswasn't just another local business trying to make some extra cash off of its product; this was something really good being created right here in Italy. Mint Hill coffee is one of the oldest roasting companies in North Carolina. The coffee was first roasted and bottled in 1892 by Gertrude Drexel, who also founded the Mint Hill Coffee Company. In 1933, the company was sold to National Roasters, Inc., which continues to roast and bottle mint-flavored coffee today.

Mint Hill is a small town in Loudoun County, Virginia. It was founded on December 16, 1792 by the merger of two smaller settlements, West End and Mount Vernon. The name "Mint Hill" comes from the Dutch word for "mint", and it refers to the fact that this area was once a mint farm. The first settlers in Mint Hill were farmers who came from Scotland. They brought their crops and livestock with them when they moved to what is now Loudoun County in 1792. The Scottish immigrants set up homes near Mount Vernon and West End, which are now part of Mint Hill. Over time, other groups of people arrived in Mint Hill: slaves from North Carolina; refugees from the American Revolution; and Englishmen who had emigrated to Virginia during the eighteenth century. The settlement grew rapidly after independence was achieved in 1783. In 1802, John Ransom started a cotton plantation within Mint Hill boundaries. By 1840, there were over 1,500 residents living in Mint Hill proper and another 400 or so scattered throughout its surrounding community areas. With its location on the main trade route between Petersburg and Norfolk (and its close proximity to both Petersburg City Hall and Hampton Roads Naval Base), Mint Hill became an important regional center for commerce and culture during the late eighteenth century. In 1847, when Randolph House—the first frame building ever erected in Loudoun County—was built as part of a improvements project financed by Alexander Hamilton's New York Bankruptcy Trust Company, MintHill began experiencing rapid growth as more people flocked to join its flourishing commercial district. This period also saw some major milestones in local history such as construction of riverboats that transported passengers across the Potomac River to various destinations including Alexandria (then called Staunton) and Washington D.C.; establishment of a high school; opening of a flour mill; founding of an internal combustion engine shop; erection of Union Chapel; etc.). During World War II, many members of the armed forces resided at nearby Fort Myer Park before being relocated back home following hostilities commenced on September 2nd 1939- effectively endangering all life within five miles radius around Arlington Court House- including residents within MintHill itself! Despite this tragic turn of events for residents residing less than one mile from Arlington Court House during wartime(), continued growth has been seen due largely to military employment opportunities available outside Putnam Valley while still remaining relatively unaffected by war-time disruptions inside town limits!
