Knightdale, North Carolina is a town in southeastern Durham County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 5,583 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Durham–Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Area. Knightdale was founded in 1838 and named for General Arthur A. Knight, who had led American forces to victory in the Seminole Wars. The community grew rapidly after it became an agricultural center due to its location along the Smith River and its natural resources: gas and coal are both located within a few miles of the town. A major employer in Knightdale is Duke Energy which operates two power plants there: one east of town on the Smith River and one west of town on Lake Norman. Other important employers include Jardine Chemical Company (JCI), Castle Brands Inc., Capital Bank, Southern Appalachian Development Authority (SODA) and Gilead Sciences Incorporated (GILD). The Knights Landing Golf Course opened in 1978 as one of only a handful of golf courses designed by Bob Blythwood within driving distance of most homes in Knightdale. It has since become one of the most popular public golf courses around with tournaments staged there every fall semester including Presidents Cup events that have taken place at nearby Cary University multiple times over their history

This is likely due in part to a lack of experience or training involved in producing such fine-quality drinking beverages at this point in history. Additionally, there was an overall trend towards lighter styles with less body - which also led to lower yields and poorer productivity when roasting beans).

The Knights were a landowning family that fought for independence from Great Britain. After the war, they developed their own small cotton plantation in the area. In 1827, they sold their property and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. The Knights made a big impact on North Carolina history. They were instrumental in creating the state government and education system and helped develop what is now known as Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area. They also played an important role during the American Civil War, helping provide food for troops and providing financial support to the Confederate army. After the war, they resumed their normal life with some minor modifications - such as changing their name to Knighthoods again - until their death in 1925.
Knightdale was founded in 1775 by the husband of Betsy Ross. The town originally consisted of just a few homes and a school. In 1876, it became the county seat of Orange County. Knightdale is now a small city with a population of about 25,000 people.
