In Indian Trail, North Carolina, coffee beans were first roasted in 1775 by a man named Hugh Lawson. The town of Indian Trails was founded in 1776 by the British Army and it is now part of Henderson County. The early coffee growers in Indian Trail used to trade with the Spanish and Portuguese for their beans. Coffee was exported to Europe and America for many years before it became popular in India as well. In 1847, John Marshall opened the first store in Henderson County and started selling coffee. He introduced this new product to the United States and became one of the earliest retail purchasers of coffee.
It was in the early 1800s when Englishman, James Moore, first traveled through what is today North Carolina. His exploration of this new land led him to discover a route that would later be known as Indian Trail. This trail ran from Virginia to Georgia and then on to Tennessee. It was used by Native Americans for trade and travel as well as settlers looking for routes out of the backcountry. The area now known as Indian Trail was first settled by Cherokee people in the late 1600s. By 1785, some 400 families had moved west along Indian Trail. In 1839, the Cherokee Nation was dissolved and most of its members were forced to move west into Oklahoma. By 1850, there were only a few scattered settlements remaining in the area around present-day Indian Trail. However, travelers still took advantage of this road because it provided access to much needed resources such as tobacco and cotton. Eventually, the road became one of the important transportation corridors in southeastern North Carolina.

This allowed for unique roast profile and flavor combinations that couldn’t be achieved anywhere else on earth!3) The development of filter presses: Soon after humans first started using fire for warmth rather than cooking food over an open flame (kinda like how we make tea these days!), they also began pressing plant matter into hard materials such as wood or stone so that it could hold water vapor tight enough so that oils could not escape undetected…thus creating modern day filters!4) Roasting/ grinding techniques: It wasn’t just plants being pressurized or roasted that led to increased clarity and complexity within coffees; it was also downgrading certain steps along the process including crushing whole beans instead of simply grind them into smaller pieces which resulted in less flavor retention and more bitterness!5) Origins & Spread: After enjoying widespread popularity throughout much of Southeast Asia before moving on up towards South Asia (where they were first used medicinally), Indonesian traders brought back large quantities (~2000 metric tons/year*)of Arabica Beans during their travels in search of new markets/resources etc…. eventually spreading worldwide via cargo ships full stop!
