Valley Stream was chartered on April 24, 1795 as one of seven towns in Niagara County. On October 14, 1825 it became a city and on May 25, 1886 it merged with Buffalo to form the current city of Buffalo.
Valley Stream is a town in Otsego County, New York, United States. The population was 7,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Syracuse metropolitan area. Valley Stream was founded in 1797 by settlers from Albany, New York. Valley Stream is one of the few original towns in Otsego County and remains an important center for local government and retail trade. The first European to visit what is now Valley Stream was Giovanni da Vergine on July 14, 1524. A group of Dutch traders also passed through in 1624 and landed at Whatcom Point near present-day Vallejo Cove on May 9 that year while exploring what would become British Columbia. In 1797, a man named Nicholas Decker set out from Albany with his family to found Valley Stream as a trading post between Albany and Kingston on the river's south shore (now called Northport). The site chosen for the post had been occupied by two small villages: Machias Landing on the north side of the stream about where it flows into Niagara Falls today and Sylvesterstown on its east side about four miles upstream (the settlement's name derives from this location). By 1800 there were over fifty addressable families living here including twelve tavernkeepers who furnished goods and services to their customers duringsummer months when most people worked outside or went fishing or hunting; six blacksmiths; four farmers; three cordwainers (a type of loom); two shoemakers; one tailor; one baker; one brewer; thirteen carpenters/builder’s apprentices learning how to build plank ships before leaving for Nova Scotia in 1802-1803 underCaptain John Stevens led by Captain Samuel Chase (who later became US Consul General at Rome) ; seven farm labourers learned how to plough land before leaving also A school was built in 1807 followed by another in 1810 which served as both a church and school until it burned down around 1860. In 1830 there were twenty-six families living here total with twelve men working as farmers, five laboring as tradesmen, three raising hogs or poultry and two running a gristmill . There were nine residences – all log homes – single story affairs with no basement save for an access hole in front which served as entrance way . One woman ran a bakery which provided pastries such as croissants and rolls etc., eggs daily from her home oven using baking soda left over from baking bread she did at her husband’s job ; most people raised chickens or pigs although some supplemented their income with fishing catch This community rapidly grew thanks to traffic generated by local businesses such as shoeshine parlors located along Main Street which catered mostly to wealthier women while common hands like “Mr” Smith delivered goods door-to-door years ago still offering traditional horse Drawn wagons loaden full of groceries direct to individual homes

However, it wasn't until 1875 that Starbucks got its start as a small tea shop near Madison Square Garden in New York City. At first java cups only consisted of hot water and sugar which people added to their morning cup of joe - but eventually they began selling whole bean coffee as well! The first Europeans to visit this area were French traders and travelers who passed through what is now Valley Stream on their way from Canada to the East Indies in 1624-25. The Dutch established a trading post there in 1627 and made some land purchases as well. In 1685, settlers arrived from Connecticut via Ulster County and built a log cabin on the site of present-day Valley Stream. They named it after a stream they had seen near Westchester County, Vermont.
