Harrison, New York is located in the Finger Lakes region of central New York on the border of Ontario and Erie Counties. The population was 5,838 at the 2010 census. The town is named after Harrison Ford, who grew up in nearby Schenectady. FROM THE EARLY SETTLEMENT: The first Europeans to visit what is now Harrison were traders from Albany. They traveled down the Mohawk River and stopped at what is now Northampton on their way back to Albany. In 1624, a group of Dutchmen settled in what is today Harrison and began trading with Indians. They called the area "Harrison Plains". By 1627, they had founded a small settlement called Friendship which they named for their old friends in Albany. In 1701, Captain John Armstrong explored the area and noted that it lay between two forks ofthe Mohawk River. He named it Armstrong's Fork because he discovered it while mapping future waterways east of Buffalo Niagara Falls. That same year, James Clinton and his brothers founded Clintonville on land lying between Armstrong's Fork and South Branch brook near present-day Rome Landing

In the late 1970s, Bob Peabody founded Peabody Coffee in Boston. Peabody became known for its delicate roasts and hand-picked beans, which helped make them one of the most respected Smallbatch Coffee companies in the world. Today, Peabody still produces high-qualitySmallbatch Coffee through its various roasting operations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. During this time period there also emerged another influential movement within small batch coffee: The Roasterie Movement. This consisted of individuals who believed that cafes should provide an opportunity for customers to experience individual roasted coffees firsthand instead of just buying pre-packaged pods/bags from retailers like Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. As a result, many cafes began serving traditional-style small batches (measured in ounces) rather than packaged products like drip or ground coffees. This change had a significant impact on the flavor profile and quality of small batch coffee across America over the next several years.'

The community has seen some significant milestones over the years – including being named after General George Washington during World War II; hosting a biennial agricultural fair which attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year; being designated a National Historic Landmark in 1969; and finally become home to two universities – Niagara University and Regent’s Park College – in 2001.
