Elmira, a small town in upstate New York, is home to one of the most prominent coffee roasting and distribution centers in the country. The center has been responsible for producing some of the world's best-quality coffee for more than sixty years. In that time, Elmira has also become an important node in the coffee industry overall. The origins of Elmira's roasting and distribution center can be traced back to 1907. That year, entrepreneur George Hildebrandt founded a small grocery store in what is now Elmira. The store was successful enough that Hildebrandt decided to open his own café soon after. He named his café "The Coffee House." Over time, The Coffee House became known as one of the most popular places to buy and taste coffee in upstate New York. In addition to its excellent cup of espresso, The Coffee House also served filter coffees, pre-packaged ground coffee, and tea. In 1951, entrepreneur Harry Smith purchased The Coffee House from Hildebrandt. Smith quickly began expanding the business into new areas including catering and trucking services. By 1969, Smith had acquired a mill which he turned into one of the largest finishers of whole bean beans in North America. In 1984, Harry Smith's son David took over management of The Coffee House from his father. Under David Smith's leadership, The Coffee House continued to grow both physically and operationally while creating many new products including single origin espresso drinks and catering services for events such as weddings and corporate functions alike. However it was on July 26th 1989 when David Smith passed away at the age of eighty-six after a long career at The CoffeeHouse that finally allowed pace barista Benj Salatin take over full management duties; Salatin would later lead The CoffeeHouse through its current rebirth as Roasters & Delivery Company (RoDCO) with full support from Mayor Linda McMahon following their purchase by McMahon’s company.) Today RoDCO continues down similar paths as their fathers before them - producing quality java every day while supporting local businesses with delicious food service!

Elmira was founded in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. It became a town in 1825 and remained so until 1959. The first coffee shop opened in Elmira in 1907, and the first coffee roaster was established there in 1912. In 1916, J.B. Lippincott began production of fine Colombian coffee beans at his Elmira factory. The company continued to produce beans here until 1997, when it merged with two other companies to form the present-day Starbucks Corporation.
Elmira is a town in Chemung County, New York, United States. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. The town is part of the Syracuse, NY-New York Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to visit the area now known as Elmira was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1524. It would not be until 1795 that General John Forbes founded a post office here with the name of "Fulton". In 1814, the village of Fulton was merged into Elmira and it would remain so until 1957 when it became its own separate town. On April 12, 1821, a group of men led by Judge George Sylvester laid out a township on land they had purchased from Chief Justice Jonathan Trumbull for $1 per acre (later reduced to $0.80). This provided much needed transportation links between western New York and eastern Pennsylvania while also giving settlers access to what is now downtown Elmira. By 1830 there were over 50 homes in this new township including ten inns and 27 stores catering to farmers and traders who travelers called "Elmira's First Class Merchants." In 1834 an act was passed making it an official part of Erie County which included many farms located around present day downtown Elmira. That same year saw the opening of what is nowthe Town Hall building after years of construction starting with room only for six students in School #2 behind the old blacksmith shop on Main Street North. The first meeting of the Board of Education occurred on October 10th in this small but sturdy building near today’s intersection of Park Avenue East and State Street South where future mayors George Ryan Jr., Elihu Root and Ralph Gleason all sat as trustees during those early days before moving into larger buildings on Clinton Street across from City Hall later that decade. The population boom following World War II allowed for more housing development both within town limits and across centralChemung County as people sought relief from wartime rationing and consequent inflation rates at home or sent their families away to join relatives living under siege at V-E Day celebrations in Japan (Okinawa). In 1951 some residents elected Drury as their first Mayor; however he would Later serve two terms ending with his retirement effective December 31st 1966 after serving 43 years total! It wasn't until 1978 when Democrat William Ahern took office becoming one half century mayor! He presided over dozens of annexations/distinctions through various mill closures, mergers & consolidations culminating with incorporation into our current Demographic Area!

Elmira was established in 1814 on the east bank of the Niagara River by Scots-Irish settlers who named it after Mount Elmira (now Elmira), in central New York. The town began to grow rapidly during the 19th century; it reached its peak as an agricultural and manufacturing center in the late 19th century and early 20th century. However, economic decline and social unrest led to its decline during the 21st century and today it has a population of around 680 people. Elmira is located at 41°24′N 73°20′W (41.430721 N 73.609609 W). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2 square miles (5 km²), all of it land. As of 2010, there were 1,797 people residing in Elmira; 710 households out of which 34% had children under age 18 living with them, 51% were married couples living together, 10% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42% were non-families. 24% of all households were made up of individuals and 11% had someone living alone who was 65 years old or older.
