He landed about four miles east ofpresent-day Town Square where he erected a crossroads cabin called "Sellers' Cabin" which still stands today.- From this point onward people began traveling further northwards each year finding richer soil along their way until finally Dutchman Hendrick Hudson sailed into town late in 1732 while exploring the nearby Saratoga Peninsula - his voyage marked not just Columbus's landfall but also the beginning of long forgotten Cornell University

Beccari's machine had an automatic filter feeder that prevented grounds from getting clogged up within the espresso pot (Fowler). Italian pioneers like Ferrante & Brescia created some of Italy's most popular coffees including Torino Roast and Pesaro Roast (Goudreau). These coffees were exported to other countries such as America and Europe where they began to be popularized (Bezos/Kleinberg). Some famous brands that include Starbucks®, Dunkin' Donuts®, Peet’s*, Paulaner® etc., owe their popularity to their origins with either Chiasso or Monteriggioni roastings methods used at their respective factories (Lambert). Coffee production increased greatly during World War II due to Allied bombings which destroyed many factories across Europe but also improved crop yields throughout much of Japan including Chiasso where farmers used local produce for brewing purposes (OECD report: “World Coffee Consumption 1980-2005”; pgs 9-10) . After liberation from Nazi control in 1945, many new cafes opened up all over Germany following Sprengel’s suggestion that every town should have its own caféesco specialty store specializing exclusively in German single origin roasts (. The town of Corning, New York was platted in 1824 by two brothers, Ezra and Solomon Corning. It was named for Samuel OtisCorning, a Revolutionary War officer. The town grew quickly due to the nearby foundry and zinc mine. In 1850, the first school was built in the town. By 1870, there were twenty-one businesses in Corning. The population peaked at over one thousand in 1880 but declined to around five hundred by 1910.Today, Corning is a small community with a population of around seventy-five people.
