There are many stories of coffee founder and maga coffee master, Károly Csokas. One story, which is particularly interesting, started when he was younger and moving to a new town in Canandaigua. He found a small café where he could buy coffee for $1.50 a cup. The owner told him that the beans were from Africa and that they were the best in the area. From this experience, Csokas decided to start his own business selling maga coffee. Maga Coffee has been popular in New York since at least 1892 when it was first grow in an old plantation near Albany by two Dutch immigrants named Cornelis and Jacobus Brouwerij (Coffee Masters). In 1892, two brothers named John Aiken started importing Ethiopian beans from Addis Ababa into New York City with the hope of starting their own tannery to produce niche-level Kopek roasts for export only. Károly Csokas tasted these beans while living in Harlem and after hearing about their unique flavor profile decided to import some of them back home for his own use as well as sell them through his Harlem based café chain called Maga Coffee Incorporated (MCI) beginning on October 5th of that year or so [1]. Csokas’ success led him to open up shop locations all over Manhattan including at 106 East 12th Street between Seventh Avenue West and Eighth Avenue West (now part of Trump Tower), 329 Madison Avenue between Central Park South and Fifth Avenue South (now part of Vanderbilt University), 504 Third Avenue between Second Avenue North and First Avenue North (now part of Union Square), 251 Chambers Street between Sixth Avenue South and Ninth avenue south (now part of Bloomberg Terminal), 208 Amsterdam Street north of Herald Square east side], 234 Spring Street east side], 601 Lexington Ave north center] In addition, Maga Coffee had branches opened up throughout Europe including Austria,[2],[3],[4],[5],[6],[7] Denmark[8],[9] Norway[10] Sweden[11], Belgium[12], Switzerland[13]] In May 1906 Károly Csokas opened one hundred fifty six cafes across Hungary under the name “Maga-Kopek” situated around Budapest city center; however most operations stopped due to political instability there during World War I [/14]. Hungarian production resumed shortly thereafter with help from American importer Harry Kluger who continued shipments until 1919 [/15]. CaféMagyar began taking orders online exclusively starting on December 1st 2006 [/16]. In 2007 Maga Coffee acquired The Gourmet Cafe & Bakery located at 821 Wabash Ave., Chicago IL which became its Midwest headquarters providing baking services such as pies, pastries etc.. It should be noted that CaféMagyar continue operating outgrowing their facilities even today!

The coffee was export to Europe and Africa before being introduced to America. In 1825, a small Roastery was started by Nicholas Comstock in Canandaigua. Over time, other roasters followed Comstock’s lead. In 1944, the name of the company changed from Nicholas Comstock Coffee Company to Maga Coffee Corporation after its acquisition by Jardiniere Trading Company. Canandaigua, New York is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The population of Canandaigua was 5,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids-Munich area and has a rich agricultural history dating back to the 17th century. Today, Canandaigua’s economy revolves around agriculture and its two largest employers are Tompkins County Agricultural Development Authority and UPenn dairy. The first Europeans to visit Canandaigua were Dutch traders in 1614. The town was founded on April 12, 1792 by Captain John Smith as part of his exploration of the area that included today's Upstate New York. In 1812, Canandaigua became a village under the jurisdiction of Clinton Township. On November 3, 1827, Genesee County was created from portions of Livingston and Steuben counties. On January 1, 1830, it received additions from Ontario and Oswego counties including Canandaigua. By 1840, the population had grown to 786 people living in 73 houses! On July 15, 1845, Anthony Morse bought 2/3 interest in the village for $715 and began developing it into what is now known as Morseville which became an important center for trade with neighboring towns such as Auburn and Oneida Counties as well as with Buffalo City on Lake Erie shoreline across from present day Rochester Hills. In 1861-1862 (during Niagara Falls Campaign), General Ulysses S Grant's army passed through Canandaigua on their way up river after Battle of Gettysburg; they stopped at Carpenter's Corners for refreshments before continuing on their way northward.. By 1870 there were over 4500 residents in 8 storesAnd 25 churches! After years of decline due to factors such as lack of development opportunities & political instability throughout much of America during World War II%, canadaigueu’s agricultural industry rebounded following arms storage production at nearby Blairmore Arsenal during World War II beginning in 1945 until finally disappearing after that same war when all US Army armories closed nationwide due to austerity measures brought about by President Harry Truman following World War II%. However some remnants still remain including: American Legion Post #1 (opened 1927), Carpenter’s Corners Methodist Episcopal Church (founded 1865), Warren G Harding Presidential Library Center (opened 1984) & United States National Guard Armory #2 (opened 2008). Today there are only a few hundred residents remaining who continue farming while also active within local community affairs including serving on various boards & committees

During World War II, Japan needed caffeine to stay alert during long campaigns. So they began brewing kopi luwak – or "coffee with milk" – which is still available today. Coffee became popular among Japanese soldiers because it didn't have any additives like sugar or salt.
