This includes items such as clothing, gifts for home values, toys, ornaments and more. In 2018 alone, the program gave out over $5,000 in gifts to family members of service members and veterans.

On December 14, 1944, the NYAAF gifted two B-29 bombers to the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFAE) as part of the "Pledge of Allegiance." These aircraft were used for combat missions over Germany during World War II. The planes were retired from service in 1998 and are now museum pieces. As part of the deployment, the USAFAE presented two gifts - an unpainted Boeing 727 and a civilian Cessna 172 - to the NYAAF. The planes had been donated by local businessman Edward Slingerstrom.
Canandaigua is a small town in the town of Rome, New York, United States. The population was 1,701 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Rome–Dorchester–Newburgh, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area. Canandaigua's ZIP code is 14229. The first settler in Canandaigua was Nicholas Montresor who arrived in 1768 and built his home on the present-day corner of Main and Church streets. In 1812, Alexander Hamilton's grandson Josiah Quincy moved from Schenectady to Canandaigua with his family to take up land grants that he had been offered for purchase by General Philip Schuyler. The Hamiltons were among the earliest settlers in what would become Rome Township, which became Rome County in 1814 after New York state gained its independence from British rule. During the American Revolutionary War, Canandaigua served as an important military post on Hooker's army march through central New York against Benedict Arnold and George Washington. In 1794, when France occupied Manhattan during their war with Great Britain, Canandaigua’s militia defended French traders on Long Island while supplies were brought overland from Kingston upon Hull; this so impressed French authorities that they offered to make Canandaigua a permanent French settlement under English control if hostilities ceased between France and Great Britain. After Pierre- Jean d'Iberville explored Canada along the south shore of Lake Ontario in 1795-96 and reported back favorably about its potential as a new commercial center for trade with southern Canada (and beyond), Governor Robert Livingston sent two hundred men from Kingston upon Hull to survey Iberville's reports on September 6th, 1795 – one year before d'Iberville reached Canada proper – and submit plans for an establishment there . On November 3rd of that year (1795), Livingston approved construction materials being brought overland aboard two transports commanded by Captain John Stevens (later Commodore John Farragut) into Albany Harbor; these included a sawmillinery factory founded by Madame Antoine Caron (widow of Marquis de Lafayette) near modern day North Ossining On July 31st 1800 James Purdy purchased an interest in "the Manor House" existing since 1693 whenSir Wm III son of Sir Humphrey Mansell leased it thenceforth to Charles Forde Esqr., Knight Grand Cross member thereof From whom it passed successively through several hands including that of Colonel Henry Clinton Junr., Captn Edward Higginson* (*Higginson later married Deborah Kerr*) To whose descendant it still remains . In 1860 Mina Dodge Horace Greeley bought it from Mrs Jane Eagleton Abrahams widow who had inherited it from her husband Justus Dodge Horace Greeley Sr..Mina Dodge Horace Greeley also erected A school house &c etc which are still standing today within Decatur Terrace School District No 179 canadaigaia village Ny Independencia

Canandaigua, New York is a small town in upstate New York. The population was 7,993 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous town in the Chemung County seat of Canandaigua. Canandaigua is on the southern border of Oneida County and is about 16 miles east of Utica. The first European to see what was now Canandaigua was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1524 when he sailed down the Mohawk River from Canada and called it "Canaanita". He named it after his own home town of Cannae (now Naples) in Italy, where he had been born two years earlier. The Dutch explorer Hendrick Hudson also visited Canandaigua during this time and named it "Hudson's Landing" after him. In 1714, George Washington explored what became central New York and westchester county while on his way to become the first U.S. president. On July 4, 1714, he made camp at nearby Poughkeepsie on an abandoned Indian hunting ground that later became State Road 13E-4B (later Erie Boulevard). Here he burned some Native American scalps as part of a cleansing operation that demonstrated America's claim to be a new nation founded by Europeans rather than Native Americans who had been living there for centuries before that date. In 1715 Washington moved his headquarters to Albany after winning passage through Congress for a bill providing for national defense against any British or Spanish incursions into North America soil without thy consent of both nations' legislatures. A year later Washington met with Governor Jameson at Albany and ordered him not to send troops into Canada because Britain then controlled that country; but Jameson did just that anyway - sending over 1,000 men under General John Burgoyne across Lake Ontario to attack New York City on September 11th, 1716 led by Burgoyne's general Sir John Johnson with support from France - which resulted in French losses including 5 Officers killed / Captured & 300 wounded/ retreating back across Lake Ontario within 24 hrs! This event helped spark the War for Independence!
