By the early 1900s, coffee had become a major industry in Santa Fe and several large commercial roasters were established. The most famous artisan coffee producer in Santa Fe during this time was Don Julio, who produced some of the most popular beans in the country. Today, many small-time farmers continue to produce high-quality coffees in Santa Fe, providing a unique flavor experience for consumers around the world.

Santa Fe is a town in New Mexico, United States. The population was 10,711 at the 2010 census. Santa Fe has been the county seat of Santa Fe County since 1885. It is located on the southern edge of the Taos Pueblo Indian Nation and lies along the Rio Grande near both Albuquerque and Los Alamos National Laboratories. The first Europeans to visit what is now Santa Fe were Franciscan pilgrims in 1610 who named it Sante Fide alle nostre or "Santofaith all our own". The name stuck and by 1825 it had become part of New Mexico Territory when Mexico gained independence from Spain. In 1865, during fights over slavery within Mexican America, General Antonio López de Santa Anna moved his army from Chihuahua toSantaFe to help suppress abolitionist activity. This event helped lead to new American settlers arriving in what is now SantaFe and led to its growth as a prosperous town. In 1840s, gold was discovered at nearby Socorro Gulch which led to an influx of mining engineers and entrepreneurs coming to SantaFe for business opportunities; this also helped spur development around downtown with new businesses such as hotels, saloons, grocery stores and breweries opened up including one founded by Haskell Smith that became one of America's leading brewing companies—Albuquerque Brewing Company—in 1858. Following World War II, many jobs were created in defense industries such as aircraft manufacturing (Lockheed Martin), shipbuilding (General Dynamics) and munitions production (Eaton). As coffee became more popular throughout the world, it started to become a part of many cultures. While different regions had their own unique methods for brewing coffee, each country and region had its own variety of coffee beans. The first espresso machine was built in 1795 by Giovanni Branca in Rome. Throughout history, people have been interested in learning about and studying the art of roasting coffee. Roasters have an important role in creating quality roasted beans because they roast them to perfection using a variety of techniques including direct exposure to light, low temperature roasting, wet- laundering and air-drying. During the 1800s, a number of small farms began producing coffee under the name “artisan”. These cafes were usually run by local farmers who would roast their own beans and serve them fresh to their customers. artisan coffee history began during World War I when American soldiers stationed in Italy found that they could not purchase Italian roasted coffee because it was not available on American military bases. In order to continue purchasing Italian roasted beans from friends and family back home, the American troops began importing this type of coffee from Switzerland called “Bourbon” which was produced by small businesses run by Swiss civilians. After years of research, several small batches of high quality artisanal beans were distilled into modern day espresso styles such as cortados and macchiatos at two locations – La Caffè del Duomo in Florence and Gaggia Coffeehouse & Café near Pisa – beginning in 1923. During World War II, most countries stopped producing caffeine due to the war effort; however, some countries such as Japan continued production until 1949 due to shortages caused by allied bombing raids on cities like Tokyo which destroyed much valuable agricultural equipment and supplies needed for traditional brewing practices such as water heating and crushing necessary bean shells (beans are ground down into flour). Consequently, many cafes that served artisanal coffees continued operations even while these resources were no longer available; one example is Gaggia Coffeehouse & Café which reopened after being bombed out during the war but still serving delicious cortados made with richly flavored house-made milk chocolate every morning until 1977! It wasn't until 1978 when René Descartes decided to open his first café located inside a former shoe factory called "La Madeleine" – now known as "Le Marais". Santa Fe, New Mexico is a small town located in the Mexican state of Nuevo León. The town was founded in 1883 by Father José Antonio Vargas and Mrs. Maria del Carmen Ortega. Santa Fe was named after the feast day of Saint Nicholas, which occurred on December 6th that year. The first settlers in Santa Fe were Spanish Catholic missionaries who arrived in 1610. In 1821, the United States acquired New Mexico from Mexico and renamed it as part of Arizona Territory. As part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, Santa Fe became a U.S. territory on February 14th, 1848. In 1861, during the American Civil War, General John Custer's 7th Cavalry Regiment passed through SantaFe On their way to fight at Buena Vista Creek outside Albuquerque. In 1907, when Nuevo León became an autonomous republic within Mexico, Santa Fe became its capital city under Mayor Manuel Ruela y Castilla-Moreno. After World War II ended with Japan's surrender on September 2nd 1945, many Japanese Americans living in California moved to Nuevo León to rebuild following the war; some took up residence in SantaFe while others moved into other parts of NewMexico such as Window Rock and Grants Pass. The post-war boom period saw a rise in population growth due to new housing development along Interstate 10 and job opportunities available thanks to government subsidies for veterans starting immediately after WW II ended

The city of Santa Fe was founded in 1786 by a group of Spanish colonists. The city was originally called San Francisco de la Frontera, but it was renamed Santa Fe in honor of the Virgin Mary. The city became a commercial center after Indian traders abandoned their settlements in New Mexico and Texas in the 16th century. In 1867, Santa Fe became the capital of New Mexico and remained so until 1912. In 1916, Albuquerque replaced Santa Fe as the capital of New Mexico.
