The Roswell Museum of Art hosts the annual Military Deployed Gift History Exhibition during the city's Veterans Day celebration. This year, more than 140 items from different years are on display, including military equipment, medals and insignia, historical documents and photos. The exhibition is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there are free guided tours available at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 10:30 a.m.—and 12:30 p.m.—on Saturday and Sunday (May 6-8). Admission is free for all visitors; parking is available on site or in nearby lots/ garages (for those who can't make it to the exhibit). Roswell Mayor Richard Berry says that this year's event is important because it celebrates the city's history of service to our country—both past military deployments and local cooperation with federal agencies during times of crisis or emergency."
