The United States Naval Forces deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002. The deployment saw the activation of the Naval Air Station Farmington, which became the primary naval airfield for Operation Iraqi Freedom and later Operation Afganistan. In total, the Navy activated 10 squadrons at NAS Farmington, which flew more than 2,000 missions during the deployments. The squadron's colors are red, white and blue. In 2004, NAS Farmington was renamed USS Theodore Roosevelt after President Theodore Roosevelt who served as Commander in Chief of US Naval Forces Europe from 1901-1904. USS Theodore Roosevelt is a McCain Class destroyer that was commissioned in 2003 and remains stationed at NAS Farmington today. On November 4th, 2006, USS Theodore Roosevelt delivered humanitarian relief to victims of Hurricane Katrina. On October 25th 2009 USS Abraham Lincoln provided humanitarian assistance to Haiti following its earthquake injuries. USNS Lexington (LHD 9) is currently docked at NASFarmington with replenishment supplies for IAEA nuclear inspectors ongoing during this time

Farmington is a small town in New Mexico, located on the Pecos River. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Santa Fe metropolitan area. The first known permanent English-speaking settler in what is now Farmington was Nicholas Astor, who arrived in 1785 and started to farm nearpresent-day Fillmore. In 1827, James Wetherbee founded a rancho called Rancho de la Union which became the nucleus of present-day Farmington. Farmington's early years were very difficult as it was surrounded by hostile Apache and Navajo tribes. However, with hard work and determination, Farmsonians built up their community and established themselves as one of New Mexico's most prominent communities. Today, Farmington continues to be one of its own most entrepreneurial towns with many businesses thriving within its boundaries including medical technology company One Medical Solutions Inc., real estate developer Cushman & Wakefield (now part of Anaconda Copper), car dealership Ford Motorsports LLC., printing press manufacturer Wilkinson Printing Company and more! The name "Farmington" originated from an old Scottish Anglican mission named Forcalquier that was established in 1768 on nearby Mount Carmel by Revd John Smythson along with his young wife Jean Baptiste Lafarge de la Salle. The mission quickly lost favor because Of all the people living there only 9% were farmers while 99% lived off hunting and fishing opportunities around the mountain range they patrolled! From this single mission two other missions were established: La Laguna Mission in 1814 by Father José Gomez and San Juan Mission in 1821 by Father Manuel Acevedo y Ruiz after Mexican independence had been recognized by Great Britain Two years later another Scottish Anglican mission - St Andrew's Church - opened at what is now downtown Farmington after being purchased from Spanish missionaries by local citizens under license from Governor Martinez In 1846, Farmington reached its peak population of 2200 when settlers erected a log cabin across from present-day Mesa Verde High School; however following Indian Wars (1860–1880) hostilities increased between Navajos/Apaches attacking white settlements throughout southern New Mexico including Foothills Ranch on Pecos River north of downtown Farminton during 1863 raids led primarily by Apaches Ulysses S Grant ordered General Tomahawk to ride over Pecos Valley on July 6 1865 guns blazing killing 20 men armed only with bows and arrows as part of campaigns againstraiders This event has been referred to variously as "the golden age" or "the end," marked also by increasing railroad construction through central New Mexico associated with the Gold Rush brought about largely due to gold found at nearby Fort Sumner At night raiders would descend upon farms ranches indiscriminately leaving livestock dead or wounded inside buildings until finally driven out or defeated resulting in such massive civilian casualties that news reports began making national headlines In 1886 Major General James A Curry took command of troops sent to suppress Navajos/Apaches leading to what are now known as Departmental Cavalry operations throughout much southeastern New Mexico culminating in the Battle for Adobe Walls which ended major Apache resistance prompting new federal funding for Native American assistance Withdrawal of military personnel followed soon thereafter cessation of open warfare between Navajos/Apaches and settlers resulting in today’s wide open grazing areas adjacent To downtown FarmINGTON where several restaurants offer breathtaking views Of Mountains National Park And Off Devil’s Playground

These deployments have often been celebrated by the community they were made within and with particular note given to ships that transported large amounts or donated goods such as ambulances and food trucks. Today, there are several different types of naval vessels that can be deployed depending on their intended use: surface combatants (USS Enterprise/Littoral Combat Ship), submarines (USS Bennington/National Security diesel submarine) and amphibious assault ships (USS New Orleans/Linda Loring amphibious assault ship). NOTE: There have been multiple incidents where submarines have reached coastal shores without proper escort; however this one represents an important step forward in our relationship with Bahrain! This event underscores how vital it is for our navy not only To undertake missions like these but also provide support while ashore while fighting terrorists!! Note: This particular deployment came just days after ISIS threatened Baghdad over an oil spill!!!

Farmington is a small town in New Mexico, located on the banks of the Rio Grande. The town was founded by pioneers in 1878 and became an important trading center for the region. Farmington was also known as the "Queen City" due to its rich history and buildings. Today, Farmington is a vibrant community with a growing economy and strong cultural heritage. The town originally consisted of only a few families who farmed land near the riverbank. By 1878, farming had become established as a local industry in Farmington, thanks to good soil and climate conditions. The first permanent settlers arrived in 1878 and built their homes around what is now Main Street. By 1800, about 100 people lived in Farmington. In 1892, the U.S.,Mexico War ended with the signing of Treaty of Ciudad Juárez which provided for Mexican independence from Spanish rule. As part of this treaty, Mexico ceded many eastern New Mexico areas including present-day Farmington to America including land that still makes up much of downtown today. This event marks one of the earliest steps towards Americanization of New Mexico's rural population and contributed importantly to development within Farmington over subsequent decades (see timeline below). As Americans began arriving in increasing numbers throughout New Mexico during the 19th century they started acquiring land parcels east of the Arkansas River which then became known as Rancho de la Mesa or Rancho de las Mesas because they were granted at specific intervals -mainly between 1881-1893 - following US President James K Polk's efforts to open up portions ofNew Mexican Territory under his administration (see map below). These ranchos straddled what is now I-10 Business Loop & NW 10th Ave; later becoming part Of The University Of Texas at Austin campus area just southwest side alongLoop Rd/NW 10th Ave.) A number name changes took place during this time: Rancho Santa Fe (now White Sands Missile Range) in 1886; Rancho San Miguel in 1888; Paso del Norte after 1900 when it bordered on Chihuahua state boundary – eventually becoming Townships 3 & 4 within El Paso County outside Albuquerque proper cattle ranching continued until reliable winter pastures could be found elsewhere by 1906 when most ranches closed down due lack water/wind power available year round.. In 1912 both sides signed Treaty Of Guadalupe Hidalgo which assigned all remaining unceded lands eastward into Arizona territory leaving Farmington alone.. After WWI agrarian depression caused increased demand for labor on nearbyimaritos some farmers moved back into NM but others continued leasing out holdings until 1920when farmsteads closed all together again largely due to high prices for cotton resulting from post WWI boom era . Although much has changed since 1870s when first white occupants set foot upon original homestead site there remain many aspects peculiar to early Cowboy culture such as rodeoing events held annually at Pecos Hills Racetrack called " Spurs races" dating back To 1840’s A similar event Fish Fry contests lasting several days each summer are held at various places around town featuring Native American cuisine
