Fresh roasted coffee beans are a prized commodity in many parts of the world, and Artesia, New Mexico is no exception. The town was founded in 1881 by Spanish settlers as part of the Rancho Atascosa Coalfield and has been continuously growing since then. Today, Artesia is home to an extensive coffee region that includes portions of Sonora and Chihuahua states. One of the most famous roasters in this area is Peet's Coffee Company, which has been serving quality coffee products to locals and visitors alike for over 100 years. In addition to their iconic red cups, Peet's also offers delicious sandwiches and pastries made from their beans. Over the years, various other companies have contributed to the development of Artesian coffee culture. Artesia is a small town located in the Mexican state of New Mexico. It has a population of around 100 people and is known for its vibrant art scene. The town was founded in 1875 by patriot and artist, José María Morelos, and has been home to many famous artists including Fray Silvestre de la Cruz, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, Manuel Orozco y Abad de San Juan, and Francisco Peralta. Today Artesia continues to be an important artistic center within New Mexico and across the United States. The history of Artesia can be traced back to 1875 when José María Morelos settled in this area with his family. In 1923, Morelos donated land to the town for use as a public park. This park today remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in Artesia. Today, the town's art scene includes both local artists as well as visiting international artists. Some of the most notable local artists include Fernando Rivera (1927-2005), who is considered one of the most influential painters in Mexican regionalism; Héctor Barbosa; Rubén Darío; Gerardo Padrón; Julio Cortázar; Diego Rivera; Marcel Broodthaers; Eduardo Paolozzi; Eduardo Sánchez Jiménez-López and Santiago Sierra-González. Additionally, international artists that have visited Artesia include Yoko Ono, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst and David Bowie.

In recent years, there has been a surge in popularity for fresh roasted coffee due to its convenience and taste. The first recorded mention of fresh roasted coffee is in Aristotle’s Poetics. In this text, Aristotle noted that “coffee was first brewed by means of hot water which was forced through filters into a pot with grounds” (Langston). This information may date back to the time when people would roast their own beans in their homes or workplaces. In 1811, Nicholas-Jacques Conte published his book entitled The Art of Coffee Making which outlined the process of roasting coffee beans. Conte recommended using a French press to extracted all the flavors and aromas from the beans while also leaving them intact so that they could be enjoyed later on. He also suggested using a Kamado Kiln to maintain the perfect level of heat throughout the roast process (Fenton). As technology improved, so did the ways in which roasters were able to produce high-quality fresh roasted coffee. In 1915, American immigrant Emanuel Rubin developed a method called direct pressing which used small amounts of water and simple processing techniques to transform whole bean coffee into fine products (Fenton). By doing this, Rubin helped create one of the earliest successful cafes in New York City (Langston). subsequently he opened several more cafes across America until his death in 1951. His legacy lives on today as one of pioneers who helped change how people enjoy great tasting coffee!

Artesia, New Mexico is a small town in the northeastern corner of the U.S. state of New Mexico and part of the Albuquerque metropolitan area. It lies on the Sangre de Cristo River, east of El Paso and west of Las Cruces. The population was 7,567 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in Artesia was José Antonio Vargas on July 10, 1871. Vargas and his family came from San Francisco de Asís, Argentina via Santa Fe to Pecos County in what is now New Mexico Territory. In 1872 David Baca began farming around present day Artesia with assistance from his brother-in-law Manuel García who owned a ranch two miles south of town. On October 15, 1872 Garcia sold his land to John Capps for $650 nominal cash plus twenty acres (8 ha) of timberland adjacent to the river for $250 per year in perpetuity thereafter—a deal which proved very beneficial for both men as it provided access to timber resources not only for building but also for selling lumber local merchants needed to support their businesses growing rapidly during this time period In 1875 Avila Valenzuela arrived from Spain with her husband Manuel Castilla and 4 horses and 2 mules; they set up a cabin near stream known as "La Tijera." They were one of what would be many Spanish families that would settle in eastern New Mexico during these early days; some 20 years later they had increased their numbers to over 100 people including 25 children living together in an adobe farmhouse on 3 acres (1 ha) just north of present day Artesia . On December 13, 1886 Wm Henschel bought Lots 1 & 2 opposite La Tijera from José Antonio Vargas' heirs for $200 each (valued today at about $10 million). This gave rise to nearby downtown Artesia which developed quickly due to its easy access by river or wagon road which still exists today despite being dramatically altered by development over the years

On the morning of February 14, 1912, a portion of Artesia, New Mexico was destroyed by an earthquake. The quake had a magnitude of 6.7 and killed more than 350 people.
