The first time I ever tasted maga coffee was at a small cafe in Alamogordo, New Mexico. It was during my early college years and I had just moved to the small town from Albuquerque. The cafe was called The Beanery and it served up some of the best maga coffee that I have ever experienced. Maga coffee is a unique bean that is grown in the highlands of central Mexico. It has a rich flavor and is very smooth. The beans are roasted over an open flame, which gives it its characteristic reddish brown color and fiery heat. Maga coffee first reached America in the 1870s when Spaniards started travelling to Central America to purchase this unusual bean. After they found out about the great taste and texture of maga coffee, they began importing large quantities into Spain. Over time, different Spanish traders got their hands on some of these beans and started selling them back home as maga coffee. By 1892, there were more than 10 cafes in Albuquerque that were serving up maga coffee. In 1919, Carlos Gomez opened his own shop in downtown Alamogordo that became one of the most popular Maga Coffee shops in New Mexico for many years to come. The first coffee beans were grown in Alamogordo, New Mexico in the 1870s by José Antonio Mejía and his brother Francisco. The beans were delivered to Albuquerque, New Mexico for roasting by Santiago Rojas. In 1892, Carlos Ortiz bought some of the beans and started processing them at his family's restaurant, Los Ortiz in downtown Alamogordo. In 1906, Enrique P. Mejía founded Esperanza Coffee Company with a small amount of coffee from Los Ortiz. Esperanza was the first coffee company to roast its own beans and package them in cans. The company continued to grow until it merged with Teavana Corporation in 1992.
Alamogordo is a small city in the county of Nuevo León, New Mexico, United States. The population was 2,922 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Albuquerque-Municipality. The Name Alamogordo Means "The Place Where the Buffalo Roamed." The first humans to live in what is now Alamogordo were Native American Chontales who hunted buffalo and collected game on the surrounding hills. In 1847, José María Cabeza de Vaca and his men were lost during their journey from Santa Fe to Taos when they passed through this area and were met by Pecos Indians who took them prisoner. They released them after finding out they had no intention of harming any animals on their way back to Santa Fe. In 1863 General Antonio López de Santa Anna discovered gold near present day Alamogordo while leading his army southward in pursuit of Mexican general Manuel Armijo y Zúñiga. He named the area for himself, commandeering a town that already bore his name—Alamogordo—and scattering gold coins throughout it as well as awarding land grants to various settlers in order to encourage development thereabouts. By 1870 Alamogordo had become an important railroad center due to its location at one end of a long track running from Denver toSanta Fe with stops at Socorro and Raton Springs. For many years it was also home to what was then the largest cotton gin in America; however, it closed its doors in 1957 following World War II bombings which destroyed most of downtown Alamogordo and left it virgin forested territory today save for a few scattered buildings and a few hundred people living inside Interstate 10A surroundings like restaurants and hotels). During prohibition (1921-1933), Alamo Hall (the old Cotton Gin) became Arizona's first licensed speakeasy, serving drinks such as moonshine until 1933 when New Mexico became an open US state without Prohibitionism being illegal per se but rather misdemeanors being punishable by fines or imprisonment with hard labor instead thereof like other states did up until that point (motor vehicles needed driver's licenses/licenses/permits etc.). After repeal of prohibition Alamogiorno re-opened its doors playing hostess nightlife venues such as Jukeboxes Unlimited until 1990s when indoor stadiums replaced outdoor venues altogether due mainly à la carte dining services becoming more popular than sit down meals over time). There have been several high profile events associated with Alamogordo such as: January 27th 1969 - The Apollo 11 moon landing ceremony which took place at White Sands Missile Range; February 24th 1967 - A NATO summit hosted by US President Lyndon Johnson at Anaconda Palace; November 13th 1957 - A Hollywood movie premiere attended by Emperor Hirohito which took place at Municipal Auditorium; October 9th 1951 - An all night basketball game featuring future NBA players Rick Majerus and Julius Erving

In 1862, an Istanbul café called Tell Tüzel (Dictionary Coffee) was opened by Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. This establishment quickly became a favorite spot for Turks who gathered around the small round table to enjoy their morning cup of joe. Over time, other cafes followed suit and began serving maga coffee all over Turkey. By 1899, there were more than thirty-six maga coffee establishments operating in Turkey alone! Today, maga coffee is still enjoyed throughout many parts of the world due to its unique flavor profile and long history. Alamogordo is a city in New Mexico, United States. The population was 11,731 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Alamogordo County and has been since 1912. The name "Alamogordo" means "place of great black ashes." The city was founded by Spanish colonists in 1810 as part of the Santa Fe Trail network. In 1912, Alamogordo became an independent municipality within McKinley County. In 2002, Alamogordo's City Council passed a resolution recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month and proclaimed September to be Hispanic Heritage Month in Alamogordo. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually throughout New Mexico through events such as cultural concerts and festivals, food tastings and heritage-related exhibits at local museums. The City of Alamogordo sponsors the annual Hispanic Heritage Parade which begins on Broadway near Municipal Stadium and ends at the Main Street Armory. This event celebrates Latino culture in downtown Alamogordo with parade floats, music and dancing along with refreshments for all onlookers
On July 14, 1864, Major General Frederick S. Beauregard and his Confederate army invaded New Mexico Territory. The Union army was led by Ulysses S. Grant and numbered around 60,000 men. Grant marched his forces along the American River valley towards Alamogordo while Confederates under General John Custer pushed northward to expel the Union force from the territory. On July 16, 1864, after a day of skirmishing and artillery bombardment, Confederate forces reached Alamogordo and began to encamp there. The next morning, Confederate soldiers discovered that their camps were surrounded by Union troops who had positioned themselves in three lines across the river at Fort Sumner. After several hours of skirmish action, Confederate units managed to break through the Union line but were then overwhelmed by numbers and firepower from the Union unit at Fort Sumner. As a result of this battle (the Battle of Alamogordo), both sides lost about 1/3 of their total number of men killed or wounded; however, it also opened up New Mexico Territory for annexation by Mexico which would happen two months later.
