In addition to the coffees on offer, visitors can also enjoy traditional New Mexican cuisine at several restaurants during the event. Coffee has been a part of Alamogordo life for over 100 years. Originally known as "the town with no water," Alamogordo was founded by Spaniards in 1874 as a military post on the banks of the Rio Grande. Over time, residents turned to farming and cattle raising for their livelihoods. It wasn't until after World War II that coffee became an important part of Alamogordo's economy. At that time, coffee beans were brought overland from Mexico City by wagon trainloads and sold at local stores. Today, many people in Alamogordo still remember when coffee was a mainstay in their diets!

A Alamogordo, New Mexico town of around 10,000 people is home to an interesting story. Once a thriving community that thrived in the late 1800s and early 1900s, Alamogordo was quickly overshadowed by its larger neighbor, Albuquerque. However, the town has managed to keep its traditions and culture alive for generations through their own unique ceremonies and events. Alamogordo was first settled in 1881 by Mormons who were looking for a new home after Removal from Utah. The settlers named the community Alamogordo after General Antonio López de Alamo-Bautista García y Zúñiga y Costilla who was killed during the Mexican-American War. After few years, the Mormon population left Alamogordo due to religious differences with Albuquerque becoming more established as a Hispanic city. The post-migration period in Alamogordo was very different than what it is today. Most of the businesses had closed down due to lack of customers or competition from Albuquerque. The only active business at this time was the school which continued to operate until 1907 when it became part of the local public school system. In 1916, Almogordo hosted its first rodeo which is still one of their most popular events today. In 1951, Alamogordo passed away but not before leaving behind some amazing customs and traditions that continue to be enjoyed today by both locals and tourists alike! One such tradition is called "Pueblito" or "village" which refers back to when things were much more organized and there were more residents on site instead of scattered throughout various towns across New Mexico Territory. Today, Alamogordos remains an extremely vibrant community with many businesses open late into the night including several restaurants and bars as well as many cultural attractions available for visitors to enjoy including traditional Pueblito celebrations such as piñata making and Casa de Cultura (House of Culture).
The coffee trade has a long and varied history, dating back to at least the 6th century BC. The first written mention of coffee is from the Babylonian text Sumerian Cuneiform in c. 3000 BC. Coffee was mentioned in China by an ancient writer, Zuo Xuanxu, in his book “Treatise on Coffee” (2nd century AD). The Arabs discovered Java in 1219 AD and began trading with India for coffee. From there they started shipping beans all over the world. They brought back different types of coffee plants and gave them to their friends and family as gifts. By 1600 AD, coffee had spread throughout much of Europe, including England where it was first cultivated. In 1795, Nicholas-Jacques Conte, a French trader working in London, introduced coffee to America. He found that people there were interested in the drink because it was new and different than any other beverage they had tried before. Soon after he introduced coffee to America, entrepreneurs began starting small businesses selling ground beans online or at local convenience stores across the country. By 1830, espresso machines were being used within Italian households to make morning tea using whole bean coffees from Ethiopia; this is when espresso became available throughout most of Europe for the first time! In 1837 Napa Valley growers got their hands on a shipment of Guatemalan beans which proved very successful as they grew more passionate about roasting their own beans rather than buying them pre-roasted from other sources.. This led eventually to Napa Valley becoming known as “the birthplace of espresso”! In 1869 Dutchman Gerardus Ter Borch imported two tons of Arabica beans from Sulawesi Borneo which became one of the world’s earliest major production areas for whole bean coffees! In 1914 Turkish refugee Kemal Atatürk moved his caffeine factory from Istanbul to Aradığa near Antalya so that he could produce quality Turkish style Turkish espresso drinks! Today we enjoy many iconic brands such as Starbucks®, Dunkin’ Donuts®, Peet’s® & Caribou Coffee® among others who have originated out of these early pioneers like Keemun Atatürk himself!
The first artisan coffee was brewed by a group of experienced coffee beans farmers in the early 1800s. The process of roasting and grinding coffee beans is still done today by hand.
Alamogordo, New Mexico is the most northerly city in the United States. The population was estimated at over 300,000 in 1940 and has grown to over 4 million since then. Alamogordo's history dates back to 1775 when traders from Spain discovered this area and established a post office there. The town was named for General Francisco de la Garza y Ocampo, who fought against Mexican independence during the Mexican-American War. In 1879, an act of Congress designated Alamogordo as the capital of New Mexico Territory. This designation allowed for more rapid growth in Alamogordo and its surrounding towns, which soon surpassed those of Tucson as the most populous cities in the territory. The city's nickname "the Gran Cielo" came about because of its location at an altitude above sea level that allows sunlight to reach all parts of the city on a single day. The high altitude also created severe cold winters that led to local industry becoming dominant; this has resulted in Alamogordo being one of America's wealthiest cities by GDP (gross domestic product). Additionally, Alamogordo is home to several scientific institutions including Alvarado University and Los Alamos National Laboratory. These institutions have helped make Alamogordo one of America's leading research destinations; it currently ranks number two in terms of national rankings for scientific output per capita according to US News & World Report. Today, 451 businesses call Alamogordo their main source of business income; this represents a growth rateof nearly 20% each year since 2000! Overall, these businesses are responsible for generating over $US1 billion worth of economic activity each year! In addition, Alcalde Martinez has played an important role in developing downtown Almogordon into one of Americas' most vibrant neighborhoods; he has spearheaded efforts such as increasing funding for public transportation and creating more public spaces within walking distance of restaurants and shopping malls. This redevelopment has brought new life even unto old buildings – many dating back to pre-war days – providing a unique experience not typically found elsewhere in North America!
