The United States Naval Forces Europe (NAVPERS) has been responsible for the storage and distribution of naval gifts to NATO member countries since the early days of the alliance. These events were usually quite large such as Air Force legation visit[2] After World War II ended both America and Great Britain decided they needed their own navies soNATO was born on April 6th 1949 when President Harry Truman signed legislation creating NATO with 5 signatories including America [3]. The first ship ever delivered unto NATO was USS Constitution which came from Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company on February 10th 1950[4]. Each nation agreed to contribute troops and ships so within months all 26 Allies had their own navies stationed aboard our many warships making this one giant " fleet" mission complete! Woodbury, New Jersey is a town in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 7,176 at the 2010 census. Woodbury was founded in 1799 by settlers from Gloucester Township and became part of Mercer County in 1834. The area now called Woodbury was first settled by Scots-Irish immigrants who arrived in the mid-18th century. The first European to settle here was John Dunmore, Baron Dunmore of Fife on July 25, 1799. He purchased 2,000 acres (1 km²) of land from the Native American chief Pocono and named it "New Woodbury" after his home country of Scotland. In 1800, Captain James Cook discovered what is now known as Newfoundland and named it Islay after the group of high mountains he saw there. This region then came under British control until Canada gained independence from Great Britain in 1917. In 1824, Robert Morris bought 1/2 mile (0.6 km²) of land at present-day Washington Avenue and Turnpike which he donated to Mercer County for use as a township “in perpetuity” due to his donation to the county on October 8, 1823 (the same day that Easton became a borough). On December 15th 1800 Surrogate Justice Elijah Dennett pronounced an order giving effect thereto providing for organizing a township “in perpetuity” with ten voting members; one voted per family unit not exceeding five persons inclusive; each family being entitled to two votes out of every six votes cast by them together – Provided also That no person shall be allowed to vote more than once for any office or member thereof at any given election And provided further That no person owning more than one hundred dollars ($100) per year shall be allowed to vote therein – This ordinance creating "Woodbury Township" having been passed by an assembly convened pursuant to an act approved November 6th 1800 At a meeting held at Mr John's house on Washington avenue aforesaid It appearing that many people desired this arrangement they were induced thereby through persuasion & threats made unto them By Major Solomon Shurtleff Esqr Capt Gov Gen &c To agreeably conform their lot thereto thro' force Majors Samuel Latham Atl’ycht Lt Col Geo WASHINGTON
