Westwood is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 23,612 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–East Rutherford metropolitan area. Westwood was founded in 1847 and incorporated as a borough on March 7, 1892. The town is named for General James Waddell Westwood, who fought in the Mexican-American War and served as an major general in the Union army. In 1896, Westwood became one of three towns to be merged into the newly formed Newark–East Rutherford metropolitan area; other two were Secaucus and Caldwell. As part of this merger process, Westwood lost its right to self-government and became an annexed borough within Newark. As one of New Jersey's most affluent communities with a high per capita income (according to Forbes magazine) and numerous luxury homes dating back to the early 19th century, Westwood has been called "the new Beverly Hills." Today it remains known for its highly visible shopping district - home to several large department stores including Macy's and Neiman Marcus - as well as its wide variety of cultural events which attract residents from all over New Jersey and beyond. One popular event features summer concerts by various music artists at various local venues throughout the year which draws many thousands of people to Locust Valley each July during daylight hours

The first European to taste Ethiopian coffee was Portuguese explorer Diogo Cão in 1519, and he described it as “the best in all Africa”. subsequently, other Europeans started visiting Ethiopia and trying the coffee, which led to its spread around the world. In 1894, Dutchman Cornelis Weiss bought a farm near Addis Ababa for $2,000 and began roasting beans under his own name. In 1909, Swiss-born Charles Peet added roastings from Brazil to his line-up, making Ethiopians the first nationality to receive international recognition for their high-quality coffee beans. In 1971, Yirgacheffe Holdings Ltd., an Ethiopian company merged with three other companies - Arakawa Coffee & Tea Co., Dole Coffee Trading Corporation (now known as Dempo Coffee), and newly formed Wolde Selassie Ijaja Coffee Marketing Company - formed a cooperative venture called Kaymakom Group Limited which became one of the largest coffee producers in the world. By 2006, Wolde Selassie Ijaja had become one of the world's leading exporters of high quality Ethiopian coffees with total production capacity of 2 million metric tons per year

Westwood is a small town in Union County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 8,693 at the 2010 census. Westwood was first settled in 1764 by English colonists who named it Easton after their estate in Warwickshire. The original village of Westwood disappeared when the township was formed in 1838 and became part of Township 14 south of Princeton Junction. The first post office for Westwood opened on December 12, 1810, under the name Easton. It changed its name to Westwood on January 1, 1827. On July 1, 1840, the township was formed from portions of Middlesex Township and became part of Union County. In 1860, a portion of Westwood east of Route 23 became part of Hackensack Township while that section west of Route 23 remained part of West Woodbury Township. On November 2nd 1912 residents voted to secede from Union County and form Monmouth County instead; this vote was effectively nullified due to state law which requires unanimous consent for secession ordinances. West Woodbury School District #2 includes portions of both townships as well as Hackensack and North Bergen counties which are within its boundaries; these districts have been combined since 2008 into one district under the administration of Superintendent Adam Goldstein-Kalinowski. According to the National Education Association's report "2006-2007 StateofUS Schools" (pdf), "West Woodbury School District #2 ranked moderately high with above average scores for math and science achievement among public schools statewide." According to this report: "In 2006-2007...the [West Woodbury] school district had an enrollment rating above average based on Test Scores data collected by our state Department Of Education." According to Forbes magazine's 2009 list "The 100 Best Places To Live In America", "No other community comes close to matching Monmouth’s tax rates – even though much more than half the people here live below poverty lines." This article also lists several reasons why Monmouth may be attractive including its strong economy (the median household income is over $60K), low crime rate (<25 crimes per 100k population) and parks/open space opportunities abound including: two large golf courses (one built specifically for tennis), five miles long bike path equipped with lights and amenities for all ages as well as a swimming pool/fishing pond nearby). Additionally according to Forbes: "Monmouth has some great places where you can go shopping or find great deals," making it an enjoyable place not only economically but also culturally-rich areas such as Seaside Heights or Toms River offer potential residents too!
Westwood was a small town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, until the early 20th century. It stood on the west side of Westwood Lake, about two miles southwest of Princeton. The first settler in what is now Westwood was John Fenton, who arrived in 1789. He built a cabin on the east side of Westwood Lake and named his settlement after himself. The town grew rapidly during the 18th century; by 1800, it had a population of around 100 people. In 1813, Westwood became part of Princeton Township and remained so for many years afterwards. In 1839, however, it reverted to Middlesex County and became part of Woodbridge Township. During World War I (1914-18), much activity took place in and around Westwood; materials were stockpiled for war production and businesses were established to process munitions. However, as World War II began (1939-1945), little development took place in the town due to wartime restrictions on civilian populations being moved into military zones. A post office was established at Westwood in 1865; it changed its name to Princeton in 1915. In 1945, when Woodbridge Township was merged with Burlington County, Westwood became one of several villages within that township boundaries - along with Plainfield and East Brunswick - forming the current borough form of Newton Park Boroughship which is located entirely within Burlington County's borders
