He was responsible for CBP's overall homeland security mission across 33 sector jurisdictions including 8 inland ports along New Jersey's eastern seaboard - one hundred miles wide - making him one of America’s most powerful waterfront commanders when it comes to enforcing maritime laws on our nation’s coasts. As Commissioner of Coastal Security for Atlantic City Sector he has overseen numerous improvements within CBP’s operations while alsoGearing Up For A Policing future – working closely with State & Local Law Enforcement partners To Keep Our Communities Safe! Over time these auxiliary units were redesignated as Departments but each retained its original name until 1965 when they were finally abolished entirely and all assets transferred to Department Headquarters Norfolk VA which now resides at Pier 21 Naval Station Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., Inc.. These legacy Depts continue to serve today as part of marine patrol operations along Virginia's southeastern coastline providing security for citizens, business owners, visitors and shipping lanes.. 3) The first Commandant’s Award was presented to First Class Petty Officer Second Class Harry Laughlin during 1995’s commemorative centennial celebration for heroism displayed during Operation Neptune Spear -the largest amphibious warfare operation in naval history- off Florida’s southeast coast.. This prestigious award is now located at Battery Park City NY after being donated by Mrs.(Mrs.) Harry Aiden Laughlin (nee Spooner) on behalf of her son Captain Harry Aiden Spooner III USN( Retd), commanding officer/Chief petty officer 2nd class (USNR). 4) The Washington Monument became operational within the Coastal Defense Force on July 14th 1951 following donation from Colonel George Cushing USAF (Retd). This iconic structure consists of two domes with Corinthian capitals containing 20 feet high bronze statues representing Galaxy Constellation; Eagle; Heron; Lioness; Bulldog; Patriotism etc…..Gift recipient wear not included 5) USS Constitution - also known as America - became operational within Joint Service Support Squadron 521 on September 10th 1962 following donation from Yacht Club President Commodore James E Ziegler Jr ..This ship represents United States Navy's oldest continuously operating warship dating back To 1845...The ship currently resides at NAS Cherry Point NC serving as both training vessel for UDT snipers & antisubmarine warfare detachment
