These ships were later renamed USS Yorktown andUSS Enterprise after American Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt (1912-1940) and Harry S Truman (1945-1953). In 1951, Commodore John Wohlgemuth donated an amphibious assault ship named HMCS Cornwallis to the United States Naval Forces at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This ship was later renamed HMCS Halifax after King George VI of England who visited Guantánamo Bay during World War II. In 1967, Admiral Hyman Rickover donated an aircraft carrier namedCVN 68 to the United States Naval Forces at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba which became known as CVN 78 after President Lyndon Johnson who served as its first commanding officer before it became operational in 1969 under Rear Admiral Alvin Ketchum Jr.. CVN 78 is currently serving in Operation Neptune’s Spear which is conducting airstrikes against ISIS militants located on Syria’s Mediterranean Coast

Roselle Park was established in 1872 as a small community on the Jersey Shore. The area around Roselle Park was originally part of what is now Sayreville. The name of the town has been changed many times throughout its history, but it is always thought to be named for Princess Alice of Albany, daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte. The first residents of Roselle Park were families from New York City and Pennsylvania who had come to the area to find land or take advantage of the mild winters. In 1872, a post office was established in the community and soon there were also businesses such as a millinery and butter factory. In 1881, Roselle Park became an incorporated town with a population of 550 people. It continued to grow rapidly during this time and by 1902 it had reached 1,000 people. In 1916, the city council decided that Roselle Park should become an independent borough because it felt that Borough Hall would be too expensive to maintain. This decision made Roselle Park one of the most populous municipalities in North Jersey. During World War II, Roselleville played an important role in providing food for military personnel stationed along the East Coast. A large variety of goods including fruits, vegetables, meat products, breads and other baked goods were shipped into New York City by boatloads each day from Roselleville beach with local fishermen catching seafood while swimming ashore. In 1963, when Interstate 95 was built through parts of North Jersey, Roselleville experienced some major growth due to its proximity to I-95 Asbury Heights (a nearby municipality) and its ability to serve as a hub for transportation within North Jersey County as well as access to all types of shopping center located outside Roselleville limits without having TO&E fees levied on them like those levied on neighboring municipalities which increased their tax rates by 20%. Today there are still many businesses located inside or near Rosalleville Borough Hall that have flourished due to their location close To Home Depot (home improvement stores), Target (the largest retailer in Northjersey), NJ Transit train stations & numerous restaurants/bars lining Route 9 South within walking distance!
Roselle Park was originally settled by Germans in the mid 1800s. The first house on the site was built in 1864. In 1888, the Roselle Park School Board bought land adjacent to what is now Roselle Park and developed it into a school. The school became known as New Jersey's first public high school. In 1902, the name of the school changed to Roselle Township High School and it continues to be known as that today.
