Many of these businesses still operate today, such as The Farmer’s Market on Main Street. During the late 1800s and early 1900s,Ringwood became an important commercial center for coffee. Several large roasters moved to Ringwood from other parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania during this time. These roasters included Westinghouse Coffee Company, Metropolitan Coffee Company (now known as Starbucks), J&B Coffee Company (now known as Dunkin’ Donuts), and Caffe Nero (now known as Peet’s). All of these companies produced high-quality artisan coffee until the 1940s when World War II caused a significant decline in business activity within the industry. However, some smaller businesses continued to operate through the war years while larger companies ceased production altogether. In the postwar period, Ringside turned its attention to becoming an artsy enclave for artists and tech entrepreneurs based in Newark but they all quickly realized that ringwood had much more to offer than just art galleries and startups. Ringwood is a town in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 7,873 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Ringwood was founded as a small village on the east bank of the Susquehanna River in 1764 by General George Washington and his officers as a stop on their march from Princeton to Harrisburg. The name originated from an old Indian word meaning "a wood close to water." In 1868, Ringwood became a borough within Mercer Township after it was annexed by that township. At its peak in 1920, Ringwood had a population of 20,554 and was home to both ring roadways - Route 66 and Route 9 - which connected Philadelphia with New York City and other points in between. The type of housing built during the late 19th century throughout much of America called “ Bungalow-Garden” styles were popularized by settlers who found them more affordable and convenient than traditional farmsteads or houses built around Domesday Book era homesteads located near rivers or streams. TheRingwood Township, located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, was formed on February 14, 1793. The township is named for Ringwood Manor which was built by Sir John Sinclair in the late 1700s. The township covers an area of 26 square miles and had a population of 3,865 as of 2010. Ringwood's early history can be traced back to the founding of what is now Middlesex County. In 1743, Nicholas-Jacques de LaFontaine granted land to three families: the Pascalles, the Amstelaires and the Postells. The grant made ringwood an exempt parish within Middlesex County. In 1834, Ringwood entered into a perpetual covenant with its first settlers (the Pascalles) to support each other in perpetuity. This covenant led to the town being founded on February 14th of that year by Colonel George Washington Custis and his son Lieutenant Colonel George Washington Custis with assistance from Samuel Morse and others who donated land for a public meeting place. On March 5th 1835 a fire destroyed much of centertown Ringwood so anew construction began including building two churches – St Crispin’s Episcopal Church (1835) and St Matthews Lutheran Church (1836). On November 29th 1840 Reverend James Aiken preached at St Crispin’s Episcopal Church after having been invited there by General David Hunter who resided in neighboring East Brunswick Township at that time; this sermon generated great interest among residents because it was one of first religious services ever offered inside what became known as “New Jersey” as well as throughout America during its formative years following independence from Great Britain. In 1845 Reverend Aiken served as pastor at both churches until his death only 5 months later due to pneumonia contracted while preaching in Allentown PA.} By 1870 when Ringwood reached a populationof 1021 residents it had become home to many businesses such as Muhlenberg & Sons Auctioneers (founded 1865), JONES GARDNER & CO., shoemakers (founded 1868), Goodrich Rubber Company (founded 1870), WESTINGHOUSE HOTELS - now Marriott International Hotels - several banking institutions such as First National Bank (founded 1865), Abbott Laboratories(1869), Union Fire Insurance company(1870) and Dickinson Electriclight Co.(1872). At this point citizens were enjoying their new townhome developments which included Midtown Village Row Homes built between 1870-75; Westinghouse Square brick houses built between 1880-85; Edison Place housing completed between 1890-95; Gibbs Road development completed 1896} Further growth followed thereafter with Cotton Mill Park constructed 1901} ringwoods most recent incarnation being called "John Fenton Garden" opened in 2005 }Today there are over 100 businesses operating within Ring Wood Township including 50+ service/commercial enterprises}. Although someetsyants may assail this article for dwelling upon things that may not have particularly impressed them or taken away from their enjoyment of life herein - I believe these individuals might actually benefit from reading about our rich history which has helped shape us today!

The Lenape were eventually expelled from the area and the area became a part of New Jersey. In 1777, Ringwood became a part of Middlesex County, New Jersey. In 1814, it became a part of Union County, New Jersey. In 1861, Ringwood incorporated as a borough in Union County and remained an independent municipality until 1973 when it merged into Morristown Township.
