In 1902, John Fenton opened a second store at 123 Main Street. These were the first known locations that sold small quantities of java chatters (a type of coffee). In 1916, Dutch Schultz founded his own grocery store on Elmwood Avenue in Ridgefield Park. This business was the beginning of Schultz's ownership and operation of small businesses throughout Ridgefield Park. Schultz was a major force behind the growth of both this town and its coffee industry. In 1954, congressman Clifford Meeks introduced a bill to import more Java beans from Indonesia for use in Ridgefield Park's coffee shops. This legislation helped to bring about an increase in local production and consumption for java chatters. The popularity of these beans led to increased sales for local cafes and restaurants; as well as new entrepreneurs starting their own businesses within our community!

Ridgefield Park is a town located in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 43,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New York City Metropolitan Area and is adjacent to the borough of Manhattan. Ridgefield Park was formed from portions of Rahway and Dumontville in 1868. The first settlers were Dutch immigrants who named their land "Wijckendam". Ridgefield Park was founded on December 6, 1868 by Samuel Morse and his family after they received a patent for 3,000 acres (1 km2) in what is now Upper Saddle River Township. The town name originated with an incident that took place near where the present-day village of Ridgefield stands. A group of farmers from Rahway built a stockade around their crops during winter to protect themselves from Indians who had recently terrorized the area. When spring arrived, the farmers discovered their crops had been spoiled by wild animals and they returned home empty-handed. In retaliation, the Indian Chief burned down the stockade and killed all but one member of Samuel Morse's family. This event helped give Ridgefield Park its nickname - "the Village on the Hill". In 1870, when it became apparent that Roman Catholicism would not be allowed to thrive in America due to anti-Catholic sentiment throughout much of North America at this time, several families decided to move into Ridgefield Park from Elizabethtown Township in upstate New York because they felt it would be easier to integrate into American society as Catholics than living under Protestant rule in upstate New York where there were large Catholic concentrations. The first Catholic school opened for students in Ridgefield Park on October 10th, 1871 under instruction by Father John McCloskey with eight children attending daily classes until September 1889 when Holy Name School moved into its own building which remains today as part of St Joseph's Parish Church across Main Street from Pioneer High School (now known as West Side Union High School). During World War I service members lived within easy reach of detonated explosives along Route 66 so there wasn't any need for them to travel far away for services such as Christmas cheer or food supplies; therefore many residents bought homes close thereto so they could continue being close enough both physically and politically to serve our country during wartime times even if they couldn't fight/serve directly! husbands worked long hours outside while wives stayed home cooked meals 5 days per week then went shopping or did other activities nearby before coming back inside for dinner; now many years later these same women are working 2 jobs just like their mothers did before them! Following World War II many people left Ridgefields because there were no manufacturing jobs available postwar and most people here were farm owners or managers rather than factory workers like those prior generations had been! However some new residents moving into towns during this time period started manufacturing products such as radios and dishwashers etc., eventually making significant contributions towards economic development here over subsequent decades! Ridgefield Park has always been known for its wide variety of recreational opportunities including hiking/skiing trails through ski resort areas annexed into Ridgefield soon thereafter; golf courses located at Sleepy Hollow Lake (southwest), Asbury Hills (northwest), White Sands National Monument (northwest),summer campsites scattered throughout various forested ecosystems right off State Routes 95 & 322 & abundance water sports lakeside access opportunities; racial diversity also evident with numerous churches/mosques open 7 days a week serving diverse faiths including Baptist Christianity/Mormonism/Islam etc.; excellent public schools which have produced top professionals including two US Senators currently residing here followed by more recent successful entrepreneurs etc.–a wonderful exampleof how community based endeavors can result in great things!!

Ridgefield Park is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 29,452 at the 2010 census, making it the second-largest town in Middlesex County after Middletown. Ridgefield Park is part of the Philadelphia–Camden–Wilmington metropolitan area. The first European settlers arrived in 1732, and by 1740 there were twelve families living in what is now Ridgefield Park. In 1768, the Monmouthshire landowner Sir Edmund Burke bought of land southeast of Princeton and east of Middletown for $2 per acre. He named his new tract "Ridgefield". By 1800 Ridgefield had a population of about 350 people and two gristmills; one on Main Street and one on West Road (now University Avenue). More than fifty years later, when John D'Arcy founded Princeton University in 1812, he donated lands to make up what is now Princeton Township (of which Princeton was then a part). In 1814 President James K. Polk recommended that Congress create a new county based on conditions existing within Middlesex County: large amounts of vacant real estate due to Mineral King Reservoir being built west of Newark; lack of development opportunities along the Delaware River due to high levels of water traffic; and need for more rural areas adjacent to larger towns because transportation was becoming increasingly important with increasing populations. On February 26, 1845, Congress created Carbon Hill Township from parts of West Chester Township (including Pike & Pittsboro) and Readington Township (including Newton Centre), including those portions lying north or east of Trenton proper. On November 5th 1913 Ridgefield voters passed an ordinance creating municipal services within Ridgewood Cemetery which would eventually become section 19 on Long Island Road south from Exit 10A off Interstate 95/I-95E near exit 9B where I-95E turns into NJ Route 27A
