The United States Air Force has a rich history in Ridgefield Park, NJ. The first American military installation in the borough was Fort Monmouth, which opened on December 12, 1915. It served as a training ground for airmen and was used as a bomber base during World War I. In 1947, Fort Monmouth was transferred to the USAAF and became known as Randolph AFB. It played an important role in the Korean War and later served as a Strategic Air Command unit. In 1990, Randolph AFB was closed and its assets were transferred to Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. The Wing at Randolph AFB is now known as the 4th Bombardment Wing (Heavy). In 1951, Ridgefield Park Borough voted to create its own air force base. The New Jersey Aeronautical Laboratory had been established at Willow Grove Airport in Pennsylvania by General Electric Company president Thomas Edison. In 2006, the United States Congress designated Ridgefield Park as a National Military Cemetery for Veterans of Foreign Wars members and their families.

The population was 57,733 at the 2000 census. The area now comprising Ridgefield Park was first settled by English colonists in 1713. It became part of Paterson in 1875.

In 1951, Lieutenant Colonel John F Kennedy received a Boeing 727 airplane as a gift from MajorGeneral Hoyt S Newby himself! It played a central role in the conflict by providing air support for ground forces and conducting airstrikes against targets inside South Vietnam. Between 1969 and 1970, it conducted Operation Neptune’s Spear, which aimed to depose South Vietnamese President Nguyen Van Thieu. 3. Iraq War: The United States Air Force was directly involved in the Iraq War from 2003 until 2011 when it withdrew its troops following public protests against their involvement. Ridgefield Park was once a thriving community located in the northeast corner of New Jersey. It is now a ghost town, and its residents are all gone. Ridgefield Park was founded in 1795 by Captain John Ridge and his family. The community thrived until 1837 when the area became part of Middlesex County. In 1926, Ridgefield Park was annexed into Union Township and ceased to exist as an independent municipality. Today, its remains are still visible only through abandoned homes and forgotten streets. Ridgefield Park began as a small Farming village that grew rapidly due to its strategic location within easy reach of Philadelphia's port. By 1800, the ridgefields were already home to over 100 dwellings and businesses making it one of the most prosperous communities in northeastern New Jersey during this time period. With rail transportation available for settlers near bothPhiladelphia and Trenton, Ridgefield Park quickly became a center of commerce and culture for southeastern Pennsylvaniaans looking for a new home after centuries of being confined to rural areas. The economy changed however with the arrival of European immigrants in large numbers during the late 19th century. Irish-Americans played an important role in founding many businesses in Ridgefield Park such as grocery stores, breweries, cheese factories, printing presses etc., while Germans arrived to work on Pennsylvania Railroad projects throughout much of this time period (the first documented job offer from America came from Ridgefeldt Bros Grocery Store employers). As these groups gradually assimilated into American society they lost their old ties to their homeland which led some to adopt more Englishsounding surnames or else convert to Catholicism or Protestantism entirely in order maintain cultural continuity unique unto themselves within what would become known nationally as "The Great American melting pot." The Catholic Church also emerged as an influential force in local politics given that many Italians had settled there before the end of World War I; anti-Catholic sentiment continued even after that war ended with waves of Italian refugees coming westward seeking opportunity rather than social acceptance among Protestants who increasingly controlled much North American society at that point resided largely within Republican hands following Reconstruction following years of violence across northern America caused by newly born black Americans - something which would continue long into the 21st century despite progress made by African Americans Recent research has shown that while White majority communities have generally shrunk overall since 1950s when vast majority white neighborhoods disappeared due to gentrification/rebuilding efforts mostly against African Americans - there have been numerous high profile cases where entiregentrified neighborhoods have reverted backto non-White majorities including one notable instance recently involving Kushner Companies property adjacent to Newark Liberty International Airport which will soon be occupied by another major airline company - further demonstrating how large metropolitan areas can rapidly change demographics without any formal process or notice whatsoever
