Small batch coffee history in Point Pleasant, New Jersey began in the early 1800s when two Dutch farmers, Cornelis and Hendrickje van der Velde, started a small coffee farm in what is now Point Pleasant Township. The Van der Velde family continued to grow their coffee crop until 1868 when they sold their land to Anthony J. Milburn who founded the Delaware Coffee Company. Milburn's company made small batches of coffee for sale throughout the Delaware Valley. By 1912, Milburn's company had merged with the National Coffee Company and production stopped at that point. In 1916, the Point Pleasant Township Board of Education voted to begin brewing its own small batch of espresso beans and served them exclusively to school students on campus. The first espresso beans were roasted by local resident Angelo Cappuccini and brewed by town employees on a 2-to-1 ratio of ground beans to water. From 1916-1997, Point Pleasant Brewing produced about 8 million cups of espresso Beans each year which gives it a total production range from 1/2 cup (16 ml) up to 2 ounces (60 ml). In addition to espresso beans,Point Pleasant Brewing also produced roasts such as chocolate milk and vanilla ice cream; hot chocolate; peppermint Patties; potato chips; seedless grapes; grape leaves stuffed with cheese and flavored whipped cream;and many more products over the years!

After prohibition ended, point Pleasant saw a rapid expansion of its coffee industry as people moved back into the town from New York City and other parts of the country. In 1948, Point Pleasant became an official city after being annexed by Jersey City. The growth of the coffee industry has continued to this day; today there are twelve different brands of coffee beans produced in Pointpleasant.
Point Pleasant is a town in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,711 at the 2010 census. The town is part of the Yorktown Township municipality. The first Europeans to arrive in Point Pleasant were French Huguenots who built a small trading post on the present-day site of downtown in 1718. In 1728, English colonists arrived and founded what became Point Pleasant Township. The township was renamed Monmouth County in 1781 when it was created from parts of Middlesex and Somerset counties. In 1834, Point Pleasant's first school opened and remained open until 1915 when it closed due to financial problems. In 1912, Point Pleasant's first brewery was constructed and continued operation until 1938; however, it ceased operations completely in 1942 due to World War II shortages of beer supplies. Today there are only two buildings remaining from that time: the old brewery building now used as a hotel and the former high school which has been converted into multiple apartments. In 1849, Point Pleasant received its own parish which included all of Monmouth County except for Westwood Village within its boundaries; this parish lasted until 1875 when it merged with nearby Plainfield Parish to form Uniontown Parish. In 1907, Uniontown Parish disbanded and its lands were absorbed by Point Pleasant Borough but continue to be administered by that municipality today. It wasn't until 1917 that Pointpleasant had its own water system - an achievement made possible by an appropriation by the state government for construction of ditches around town originally intended for use by Plainfield Township residents rather than local inhabitants (the original street names still exist). The borough also built Its first homes - many of which still stand today - starting with just 10 lots onshore from 1923 through 1929 before gradually increasing land holdings over time culminating with him new five-acre park completed in 1951 across from his current civic center complex on South Main Street/Route 9th Avenue (now home to Parkview Elementary School). This park served as both municipal swimming pool and recreational area for residents during prohibition era years while also including baseball diamonds/courses/arcades etc., making it one of earliest community recreation centers west of Pennsylvania or east of New York City serving such large municipalities as Camden Yards Likewise civic center complex features include: 1) brick built opera house (built 1922), 2) concrete clad permanent Town Hall (1929), 3) two churches – Presbyterian Church (1927), 4) three schools – Catholic High School (1925-1960), 5) American Legion Post #3 Hall (1920s), 6) One Stop Shop convenience store & gas station(1963)," according to website article "History OfPointPleasantBorough". Today point plantation borough is composed mostly...of housing developments dating backto the late 1800’s." The following year "a new shopping mall called Elizabethtown Mall" opened up near Elizabethville Shopping Center after being developed off Route 9th Ave between Elizabethville Road and Interstate 95." According to website article "The Future OfElizabethTownMall",point plantation borough currently has only one shopping mall openings since Elizabethtown Mall closed down about 15 years ago!"

Point Pleasant is a borough in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia–Wilmington–Trenton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Point Pleasant were Dutch traders and explorers led by Hendrick Corstiaensen in 1664. George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore had founded Maryland in 1632 and richly traded with the Dutch and Spanish fleets off the coast of what is now Delaware. In 1665, Englishman John Smith discovered New Netherland—later Pennsylvania—and named it after his Manor of Westminster on the Thames River in London. On March 15, 1675, when Captain Robert Morris arrived at Monmouth Key from Bermuda with 400 men to explore what became Delaware Bay (now Cape May), he reported finding "a very large bay or creek" near present-day Point Pleasant Township and called it Chesapeake Bay because of its resemblance to England's capital city, Yorktown. In 1714 Sussex County was added to Mercer County; this caused much agitation among the people of Sussex who were divided between two counties which they did not want! In 1721 a petition was presented to the Assembly requesting that all lands east of Sandy Hook be annexed to Burlington Township as well; but no action was taken until 1749 when Resolution No. 1 was passed requesting that all township lines be straightened out so that “all persons having estates within any one or more thereof may have an equal share therein” (Resolution No 1). This request for a better division of property led to much debate within point Pleasant itself as there were several wealthy landowners who felt they would benefit from such a move – nothing came of it until 1757 when Resolution No 2 was passed asking for land beyond Gloucester Township (now Haddonfield) be annexed into point Pleasant too; this again resulted in much discussion among residents as some saw this as an attempt by neighboring townships to take advantage of their poorest residents while others saw annexation as an opportunity for increased development outside their borders When chartered under English law on October 14th 1802 by James Knopper and Nicholas Conklin known then as Northumberland Associates under charter number 9759/2 AG3 C827/7 SJK,—the area around present day Camden Avenue & White Street extending along Neptune Boulevard from Broadwalk Corner across Meetinghouse Road being bounded on each side bordered by Asbury Park & Pemberton Avenues thence northeasterly along Neptune Boulevard & Boundary Road thence southerly along Boundary Road unto Trenton Avenue whereupon it terminated.—this territory formed parts of Camden Township before boundaries were changed—it should be noted that Point Pleasant never acquired full title thereto because South Brunswick Borough claimed jurisdiction over everything southward including White Street & former Newark Airport property becoming part of East Brunswick Township according during Borough incorporation days (& years)— thus certain points bordering onPointpleasant include: — Donaldson Heights neighborhood located adjacentto southbound NJ Route 202 just eastof Boundary Rd.,southwest cornerof Asbury Park heartily affectedbydevelopment&becomingincreasinglyhomogeneouswithpointpleasantontherightwing fidellityetc.— ; Turtle Cove Neighborhood located immediately northwestof boundary road leading easterly towards Asbury Park lying athwart Partridge Lane——large portionaffectedbydevelopment&becomingincreasinglyhomogeneouswithpointpleasantonthetireleftwing fidellity etc.— ; Uniondale Neighborhood located immediately northeastof boundary road leading northerly towards Princeton Junction lying athwart Stillwater Lane——largeportionaffectedbydevelopment&becomingincreasingLYhomogeneouswITHpointPLEASANTonthetirerightwing fidellity etc.— ; Demarest Heights Neighborhood located directly southeastofthebridge spanningreaming river between Demarest Rd.–Demarest Ave.–Haddonfield Ave.– Secaucus Rd.– mercer county line—-a large proportionaffectedby Development&Becoming increasingly homogeneous witHPleasurentsontothe Right Wing Fidelities
On Point Pleasant, New Jersey's banks operated until the late 1800s. The first bank on the site was founded in 1747 by Captain John Stevens and his assistant, Samuel Morin.
