It wasn’t until the 1930s that these types of weapons were officially banned in the United States. As such, most shooters today still own assault rifles from this era. However, because assault rifles are now considered Class 3 weapons by the ATF (the agency responsible for regulating firearms), many individuals have decided to convert them into shot-guns or shotguns instead. conversions can be done at home using common tools like an air compressor and wire brush, or even more advanced methods like CNC machining and plasma cutting which create barrels that are both lightweight and durable enough for hunting/shooting competitions

Plainfield, New Jersey is a small town located in southern New Jersey. The population was 7,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Camden County municipality and is bordered by Atlantic City to the south and east, Hoboken to the north, and Paterson to the west. The area that now makes up Plainfield was first settled in 1764 as part of what is now Camden County. In 1814, Plainfield became a township in Burlington County and within it were two villages: Plainfields Township on theeast bank of the Hackensack River and West Plains Township on its western border. On July 1, 1846, plainfield became an incorporated village after being granted a charter by Rutgers University trustees. The village had a population of 467 residents when it absorbed parts of both South Plainfields Township (now part of Fort Lee) and North Plainfields Township (now part of Edison). In 1860, Plainsboro (then called Stratford) merged with plainfield while East Brunswick Heights annexed from West Plains Township. From then until 1984 there was no annexation or disincorporation of villages; all went through changes in name only. This unusual status has led to some confusion among researchers about which municipality actually covers which village or townships/cities within those villages- for example, when looking at maps published prior to 1984 one might see "PlainFIELD" written near Stratford but not near East Brunswick Heights - this is because Stratford merged withplainfield while East Brunswick Heights annexed from West Plains Township. However, editor's note - according to Google Street View imagery taken since 1984 - both Village boundaries have moved - so Stratford should really be "East Brunswick Heights". It should also be noted that thoughVillages had their own police officers until 1984 they are still under municipal control as per NJ Statutes Article 9:2 which states 'A village shall be controlled by a board appointed bythe governing body thereof'. This means that if you live in Village X but want your street address changed to reflect your current address in Municipality Y then you must petition for this change before it can happen- however this process can take many months or even years! So if you're curious about why your street address remains unchanged despite being inside Municipal Y – especially if it's been awhile since you last saw our map – hold off on asking us! ;-)

As of the 2010 Census, the population of Plainfield was 21,813 residents and it had an estimated area of 362 square miles (1128 km²).
In 1756, Plainfield was founded by the Dutch. It became an English colony in 1664. In 1814, Plainfield was incorporated as a town. The first post office was opened in 1819.
