However, some of the more well-known coffeehouses in Pine Hill include The Coffee House, The Gilded Cage, and The Palace. The first coffeehouse in Pine Hill was built in 1787 by Nicholas Biddle. It was located on Market Street between Lombard and Queen Streets. Biddle was a successful lawyer who also ran a bakery and grocery store. He started marketing coffee as a drink for people to enjoy after working at his businesses. In 1810, John Czarnecki opened The Coffee House on King Street between Lombard and Queen Streets. It was the first Starbucks location in North America. At that time, it was the only place where you could buy coffee with milk or sugar. Czarnecki also served food until 1830. In 1846, Isaac Brock opened The Gilded Cage on Lombard Street between Queen and King Streets. Brock was an entrepreneur who owned several businesses including breweries, distilleries, mills, and warehouses along Lombard Street. His business became known for its high-quality coffees from his own beans roasted at his facilities nearby called “The Roastery” (later closed). Brock also founded the first ice cream shop in North America up stairs from his business on King Street near Brunswick Avenue in 1852. He died young in 1857 without having any children so his business passed down to his nephews Fenton Brock Jr., Ezra Brock III,and George Wesselhoeft Jr.. These three brothers continued to operate their father’s business until it merged with another large regional chainlord named National Coffee Company Incorporated (NBC) which had its head office at 345 Broadwalk within walking distance of both original locations of The Gilded Cage/Coffee House/Palace beginning around 1951 – www .mapquest .com /maps /profile_NJC045broadwalk ···················· ). Pine Hill is a small town in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. The name pine hill comes from the fact that many of the early settlers were Scots-Irish immigrants who arrived in 1814. Pine Hill is located on the east side of Bergen County, between Ramsey and Union townships on the border of Passaic and Hudson counties. A post office called Pine Hill was established in 1825, and remained in operation until 1870. The name Pine Hill originated from a grove of sycamores near the original site of the town. The grove was known as "Pine" because it was found near high mountainside ridges that served as good natural cover for trees during wintertime. The first settler to arrive in what is now Pine Hill was John McNamara, who came by wagon with his family in 1814. He built a cabin on what is now Maple Avenue and named it McNamara's Bush after his father-in-law, George Bush Sr., one of America's first successful farmers. By 1830, there were nine families living in what became Pine Hill: four Irish Catholics (John McNamara Jr., Patrick Slattery, Daniel O'Connell), four Scotch-Irish Protestants (Alexander McDermott, Hugh Herron, Archibald Rankin), three Dutch Americans (Bertram Veldhuis) and one Englishman (John McNamara). In 1840, John McNamara’s son James bought land adjoining his father’s farm for $3 per acre ($40 per hectare). James started to grow corn and wheat with help from his brother; this amount helped support theirfamily until 1865 when they lost their lands due to foreclosure proceedings initiated by Manor borough officials seeking condemnation for building lots along Main Street which would have extended into their farmland. In 1852–1853 Manor Borough began purchasing tracts of land northward from where Main Street crossed under Ridge Road leading up to present day Pascack Hills; these lots included much of what is now eastern end of Pine Hill Township including parts of present day Ramapo Hills neighborhood adjacent to Highland Park Village development dating back to 1913 when Ridge Road had not yet been realigned following township formation about two miles east across Hackensack River from present day Pascack Hills Corner Drive/Route 9 intersection approximately midway between current community center/highway 9 & rural Route 5 intersection just northeast corner lot line between current community centerLot #27 & neighboring property owned by JACOBSON FAMILY since 1916 also adjoining community center prior address shared by FOSTER FAMILY but lot sizes differed

It began as a Scotch-Irish farming community and became anicknamed "The Fairest Place on Earth" due to its high quality of life and attractive landscape. Pine Hill grew up around the Methodist Episcopal Church, which remains an important part of the community's culture today. The first school in Pine Hill was opened in 1849 by Reverend James A. Pearcey and his students from Princeton University. In 1881, Reverend John Daugherty founded Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) in PineHill for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 years old. Today, YMCA continues to be one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Mercer County with over 1,000 members across all age groups. In 1916, Pine Hill became home to America's first air raid warning system during World War I when it was activated at Camp Livingston near East Brunswick while supplies were being transported downriver from Camden! The system consisted of a long wire strung between two trees that would send an SOS signal if there was an air raid threat ahead! One of Pine Hills most famous residents is Dutch Schultz who operated his famed Newark gambling empire out of what is now known as Bayonne Avenue SE in PineHill until he went into receivership in 1932. He died penniless but has left behind several businesses including The Dutch Bros., which still operates today as a seafood restaurant/cafeteria chain; Schultz Foods Inc., which manufactures various processed foods such asDutch Bros.' famous hot dogs; Batavia Brewing Company Incorporated - now defunct - manufacturing hard liquors based out of batavia Junction NJ; and Schultz Hallmark Cards Corporation - well-known for theirissues like Christmas cards featuring elves - headquartered off Park Row SE currently used by Mardi Gras carnival workers throughout New Jersey
