He later mentioned this spot in his speech at Ford’s Theatre, saying “I have had my fill of hot stimulants since I came down here among you people; but I must confess that while I was at the Dutchman’s I did not detect anything wanting in the quality of your coffee….It is an honest article and has been kept up by Mr. John Casement who keeps it for many years past." After President Abraham Lincoln's assassination, members of his cabinet met at a hotel near Philadelphia for dinner and discussion purposes before traveling back home across Pennsylvania to Baltimore where they would hold their inauguration ceremony that evening. While en route, they stopped off at a small town called Gettysburg andy bought some coffee beans from a Greek farmer named Papadopoulos for $1 per pound which he brought along with him when he left America for Europe that day – giving us our very own espresso born story! While we cannot claim ownership over papadopoulos' story (we getcredit!), we can lay claim to one fact: after tasting our delicious Arabica beans for the first time ever (!), we knew we had found our match! And so began what could arguably be considered NJ's proudest tradition: fresh roasted Arabica coffee being served right out front (with apologies if anyone has tasted this before!).
