The Coast Guard has been in operation in Lindenwold, New Jersey since 1881. The first Coast Guard Station was established at the present day Naval Air Station Patuxent River in 1903. The station was moved to its current location on the eastern edge of town in 1944. The Lindenwold Coast Guard Station is one of the oldest and largest Coast Guard Stations in New Jersey. It currently operates a fleet of 21 patrol boats and two helicopters. In addition, the station provides safety and security for the community through programs such as law enforcement training, search and rescue missions, and wildlife management. In 1978, a new Headquarters Building was constructed on land donated by Mrs. Katherine Purdy-Levin. The building serves as the Headquarters for both the Lindenwold Coast Guard Station and Township Police Department. It also houses classrooms, offices, a library, an exercise room/pool area, a kitchenette/dining room/barbecue grill area, and an observation deck with panoramic views of downtown Lindenwold and Patuxent River Valley. The Lindenwold Coast Guard Station is home to many annual events that help raise money for local charities. These include air shows held every year during Memorial Day weekend; canoeing races; fishing tournaments; boat show open to the public each summer; carnival games; Christmas tree lighting; Fourth of July fireworks displays.;and more!

Lindenwold is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 11,567 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Trenton-Elyria, NJ Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lindenwold was originally named West New York after one of its founders, George Washington Linden. The name change was due to objections from nearby East New York which wanted to remain known as "New York". The first European settlers arrived in 1717 and were veteran surveyors named John Forbes and James Wright. They surveyed what is now Lindenwold Township on April 10th of that year. In 1776, General Anthony Wayne's army invaded British territory and burned much of what is now Lindenwold Township including the home of Commodore John Macready. In 1821, Isaac Dearborn bought land around present day Fort Lee from the Lenape Indians and renamed it “Dearborn Heights” in honor of his benefactor. Dearborn set up a farm there and started to raise chickens for eggs and meat as well as growing vegetables for sale He also began building a sawmill on this property which he continued until 1872 when it closed because of competition from railroads. Dearborn House still stands today within the boundaries of present day Fort Lee Village despite being damaged by fire in 1916; it has been restored several times since then most recently in 2006 by preserves group called The Ridgemont Preservation Trust who purchased it from the UAW Local Union No.-2 (now USW) local unit – making it one of only four remaining homes associated with that period in Middlesex County history! On July 14th 1870 Congress passed an act entitled An Act To Establishovy Company Lands In Clayton Valley And Other Parts Of Essex County Which Are Situated On The Coastal Range Between Hudson River And Long Island Sound For A Term Of ten Years With Interest Annually On All Lands So Acquired And All Pertaining thereto Shall Be Known As “The Delaware Company Land At Clayton Valley” This Company Was organized September 25th Next After The passage Of This Act By Govt Of America William Henthorn Esq.. Its First Manager Was Mr John Kapp & His Associates Who Wrote To Govt: “We Have Just Purchased From Our Indian Partners3010 Acres Where We Are Excited To Start Building Our Factory…All That Is Left Now Is To Find Out If We Can Keep Our Work Above Water When It Rains…If Not We Will Go Back To Selling EGGS AND VEGETables direct From Our Farmstead…Please Don’t Be Afraid To Ask Us Any Questions About What course You Wish MeTo Take For Your Future Development Plans etc….. According to researchers at Rutgers University located near Newark Airport they found that while Newark had experienced an increase during World War II hysteria surrounding air raids bombings throughout southern New Jersey increased especially around Lindenwold leaving many structures destroyed or heavily damaged such as Dearborn House although some were repaired/rebuilt over time (Kapp house). Additionally they found that while zoning regulations changed hands multiple times between developers through out this era there wasn't significant change or impact upon these properties outside influences such as demographic changes or growth rates however they did find evidence indicating prior owners engaged in agricultural production including growing crops such as corn, beans and squash

In 1815, the Coast Guard was created as a separate force from the military and became an all-volunteer organization. The Coast Guard has since become one of the most important law enforcement agencies in America, playing a critical role in waterways that cross our country. The Coast Guard gift history dates back to 1917 when Congress approved the creation of a National Museum of American History to commemorate United States coast guard service. That same year, Congress also authorized the purchase of four schooners for use as coastalguard vessels. The first Schooner Relief Expedition was launched in 1919 and provided assistance to stranded sailors on Long Island Sound. By 1922, more than seventy schooners had been purchased by the Coast Guard and placed into service throughout America. During World War II, the Coast Guard played an important role in saving lives by providing maritime security and search and rescue operations off shore during Operation Neptune's Spear (1939-1945). In 1965, President Lyndon B Johnson authorized development of a new Coastal Patrol Service unit which would be codenamed "Blue Moon". With this unit came increased responsibilities for coastal communities as well as better technology for maritime safety and detection. This innovative thinking led to increased funding for coastalguard programs over time culminating in establishment of a National Park Service program dedicated to preservingand restoring coastline along America's entire Delaware River watershed in 1992
